For the third year in a row, BNP Paribas is running a series of Job Mobility Days from 4 to 22 April. This year, events designed to encourage internal career mobility will be taking place in 30 countries*.
During a three-week period, over 100 in-house events will be held across the BNP Paribas Group, including a Jobs Forum in Brazil, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Poland, Spain, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, etc; CV-writing workshops in Belgium, Morocco, Switzerland, and elsewhere; job interview technique workshops in Chile, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, and elsewhere; career-theme sessions such as ‘Personal branding in Belgium and Mexico’, ‘Know yourself better so as to be able to leverage your talents and draw up your career plan’ in Switzerland, ‘Creating your Network’ in the UK, and so on. BNP Paribas staff are encouraged to share their experiences of these events on Twitter, using the hashtag #MobDays16.
Internal career mobility is central to the BNP Paribas ‘employer promise’. In the space of two years (2013-2015), the number of positions posted on the Group’s internal job posting sites rose by 67% – i.e. 12.500 job offers posted in 2015. Over the same period, the number of positions filled through internal mobility rose by 63% (4.900 in 2015).
Our staff are keen to grow their skills and progress. In 2015, half of our staff had been in their current position for less than three years, a good indication of the range and variety of career opportunities across the Group. BNP Paribas is determined to offer every employee the chance to grow and diversify his/her work experience by making job moves across the Bank’s various geographies and/or businesses.
Yves Martrenchar, BNP Paribas Group Head of Human Resources explains: “Being ‘the bank for a changing world’ implies a commitment to being more agile and proactive. In this context recruiting the best people and enabling them to grow is a must. Our staff are looking for stimulating carers paths with the prospect of progress. And they have every right to expect this from a Group with an integrated, diversified business model that has establishments in 75 countries.”
In February this year, BNP Paribas was awarded, for the third time, certification as one of the ‘Top Employers Europe’, in recognition of the Group’s high quality HR policies.
