BUSINESS AREA / DEPT OVERVIEW
The candidate joins the Global Markets Structuring PRODUCTS team, made up of 15 senior structurers, across Paris, London and Milan, covering all asset classes (with a particular focus on Equity derivatives) for the EMEA region. The team is a GMS (Global Markets Structuring) entity, which is key to the management of the structured products business, in which BNP Paribas is a European leader.
The Cross Asset Structuring Team is responsible for pricing and structuring complex derivatives involving several asset classes, including equities, credit, commodities and rates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE
- Support the marketing efforts through product design: pricing, back-testing.
- Create innovative products suited to market conditions and client needs.
- Interact closely with Sales to understand client needs and Trading to determine the pricing parameter for each product.
- Familiarise yourself with the bank's models, and master the pricing tools.
- Understand as many structured products as possible, more or less standardized.
- Respect the processes put in place to limit operational risk.
- Respond in good time to requests for prices sent by Sales.
- Improving the IT tools of the team's daily life.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Are you our next structuring assistant?
- You have excellent academic record from top engineering/business university, with a strong preference for a degree in a quantitative subject such as Financial Maths
- You have expertise in Market Finance and Applied Mathematics.
- You are fluent in English and proficient in MS Office, while coding skills are a very welcome plus.
- You are a good communicator, a team-player and have a quantitative mindset.
