What is this position about?
• Context :
In the context of the 2025 strategic plan, Wealth Management (WM) has launched a major transformation in order to modernize its IT platform. This ambitious project consists in :
- Modernizing the backbone of our IT platform : replacement of our Core Banking System and upgrade of our Portfolio Management System
- Moving all our IT assets to the BNP P cloud
- Moving to a multi entity platform, ie the same platform for all countries
This transformation is sponsored at the group level given the very high stakes it answers:
- At WM level, it will ensure the sustainability of our platform for the decades to come, allow to reduce our cost to serve and improve our time to market for new products.
- At the Group level, it is an enabler for cross selling with other business lines such as CIB, AM or BP2S
Beyond systems, this transformation requires deep changes in terms of front to back processes as well as mindsets, organization and governance. Indeed, after years of customization at country level, the project aims at aligning all countries around common processes. It is a mandatory prerequisite to implement a multi entity platform.
To support its transformation journey, Wealth Management has adopted an Agile@Scale organization to support the implementation of key projects (WITT, Cube, Crystal,…), and to deliver continuous improvements of the products it encompasses in the long term.
• Mission :
As Global Product Owner for Client Referential & Risks, your is to ensure that the Target Platform answers the WM métier on this scope, and to ensure that the Customer/Employee value of the products under its perimeter is frequently and sustainably maximized in a continuous improvement perspective.
The Client Referential & Risk perimeter includes EUCLID and Sonar.
Working in close collaboration with WMIS, with the Temenos as editor, and with Capgemini (Temenos Systems Integrator) the PO is primarily responsible to provide clear business requirements and ensure that the designed solution is consistent with requirements. The PO is responsible for managing the product backlog of its squad.
The PO is entitled for ALL WM GAIM Entities to define the future client journey and futures ways of working.
The PO mission is to define and maintain one way of working for all sites. Supported by 1 PPO in Asia, 1 PPO in Europe, and WMIS squads, the PO is in charge of ensuring all GAIM sites needs and regulatory restrictions are covered in the projects.
Along with SMALC PO, Head Office and Compliance Functions, the PO has to ensure acceptance and change management.
The PO works following Agile methodology and is the bridge between the Metier and WMIS.
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
As Global Product Owner, guide his/her squad and interact with other teams to develop both Products and Expertise and to create the best User Experience possible:
• In the squad, work daily with business analysts, the Scrum Master, designers, engineers and experts in order to build and run the Products. Be regularly in contact with country champions/PPOs or local project managers to ensure a global adequacy and relevance of the Product, and to support them with local implementation if needed
• In the Tribe, work especially with the Tribe lead, in order to provide him/her with the information needed to establish the stream/Division vision.
• Work with other Global POs to anticipate and coordinate any interdependencies that could impact the product or others POs’ products.
• Work with the global and local sponsors to ensure global alignment
• Work with any other stakeholders (end users, IT domain managers, IT division head etc.) depending on global ceremonies set up
Role Responsibilities
• Review and Define business processes: design, submission and review
• Provide the Squad with the Product Vision, and anticipate Customer/employee needs and Market evolutions so that we make the difference in time;
• Design the Product Stories/Features of the Product, ensure their appropriation and understanding by the team to allow a fast and quality delivery;
• Make the cut in Product Prioritization, by ranking Stories/Features in the backlog for the next Sprints adopting a value-based prioritization method to cover build, run & maintenance needs;
• Test the implementation of the Stories/Features for the Product Release, ensuring that delivery is viable from a Customer/Employee acceptance perspective;
• Analyze the Product Outcomes once released, based on Customer feedbacks & Business Metrics in order to ensure continuous improvement;
• Actively participate in the Life and the Ceremonies of the Teams he belongs to (Squad, Tribe & Chapter), constantly sharing our Agile Values & Principles
• Managing large and diverse teams, and teams split across different locations
More specifically on WITT implementation:
• Mobilize and coordinate the relevant stakeholders within BNPP WM (experts across geographies) to :
- Define and align internal stakeholders on the target setup
- Participate to design sessions organized by Capgemini
- Co-lead, with Capgemini, the design sessions ensuring objective is reached while respecting the above mentioned guidelines
• Work in close collaboration with other streams (Banking and Foundations, Trading & Investment Services, Credit) in order to ensure a consistent design across the project when relevant
• Prioritize works and planning jointly with the Capgemini lead
• Ensure deliverable are consistent with expectations and provide sign off
• Analyze the impacts on procedures and SOP, and oversight the related updates
• Measure appropriation of processes by end-users and organize training for the latter’s
• Ensure that regulatory constraints and reporting are correctly implemented in the processes and systems.
• Ensure that the control framework mitigates the risks identified, in collaboration with OPC and Risk
Organisation & Governance
The Global Product Owner Client Referential & Risk is part of the Customer Life Cycle Tribe and report to the Customer Life Cycle Tribe lead, along with a local administrative reporting line.
