Position
The Client Marketing and Communication team plans and executes internal & external marketing strategies for CIB businesses and BNP Paribas APAC.
The position sits within the Brand & Communications APAC team and the Client Marketing Manager is responsible for producing product and services marketing materials across a broad range of marketing mediums. This covers both technical and commercial information, strategically conveyed to support Sales and Structurers in their discussions with clients or internal audiences.
The team works across all asset classes and multiple business lines to drive effective marketing strategies by delivering the best of BNP Paribas to our internal stakeholders and clients. The individual will report to the Head of Client Marketing and Communication, and will be physically located in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our Global Equities, Global Credit and Global Macro business partners (including sales, trading, structuring, research teams) in product materials development and manage the content development, design and production process of marketing presentational materials (pitchbooks, presentations, brochures, factsheets, videos, websites, etc.) for institutional and corporate clients, intermediaries and end investors.
- Ability to lead and execute complex financial products strategies and marketing to specific client sectors, including hedge funds, pension funds, insurance, asset managers, private banks and distributors. Articulate product rationale, mechanism, characteristics and risks clearly in all marketing materials.
- Project manage and contribute to the GM and FIC client content and events (webinars, panel discussions, events and sponsorships, thought leadership activities etc)
- Design campaigns for GM & FIC publications for regular distributions. Work with our institutional and corporates team to ensure target clients are supported across brand and communications teams (CSR, PR and media, social media and digital platform, internal and external comms, roadshows and events etc).
- Develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders in APAC, along with marketing counterparts in different business divisions or regions.
- Working with Sales, Compliance and Legal, enforce a robust marketing and compliance framework to ensure all marketing materials are compliant.
- Ensure communication of the marketing and strategic work on our digital platforms (websites, SharePoint, email software etc.).
- Create engaging videos for both internal and external audiences (including writing scripts, filming, editing etc.).
- Work with in-house creative team and external vendors and writers to create articles, infographics and digital media with an editorial focus.
- Digital & innovation - adopt new digital tools in which to engage our target audience and provide transparency around tracking and ROI/monetization. Put in place KPIs for marketing materials and campaigns and exchange ideas to business stakeholders.
- Drive relevant client-facing marketing initiatives at a bankwide level
Technical & behavioral competencies
- An individual who is passionate about finance and marketing, with a constant thirst for knowledge and the ability to think outside the box.
- Solid understanding of the financial services industry and corporate/institutional client target audience.
- Outstanding written and verbal fluency in English - knowledge of design/branding and good writing skills are essential.
- Drive digitalization and deploy automation tools across our marketing channels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build constructive working relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels. A can-do attitude enabling them to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Manage multiple complex projects and stakeholders, in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and open to new technology. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programmes (e.g. Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, etc.) would be an advantage.
Specific qualifications
- Degree holder or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Marketing & Finance.
- Solid knowledge of the financial services industry, regulatory frameworks and culture – prior experience of the APAC market and Investment Banking is an advantage.
- Prior video filming/editing skills is an advantage.
- Sound understanding of institutional and corporate clients, products and solutions.
- Strong understanding of offline/digital marketing channels.
- Fluent written and spoken English (to native standard).
