BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) is the investment banking arm of BNP Paribas, active as global provider of financial solutions to corporate and institutional clients. Our M&A Advisory teams (>400 professionals covering all regions in Europe, Middle East and Africa) assist large- and mid-cap corporate clients and financial sponsors in achieving their external growth strategies by providing advice on mergers, acquisitions, asset disposals and listings. The Advisory team in the Netherlands consists of c. 10 professionals and has been involved in numerous high-profile transactions in the Dutch market.
For our M&A Advisory team based in Amsterdam, we are looking for highly motivated individuals to join us as:
Intern - Advisory Netherlands (M&A)
What we offer:
As an intern in our Advisory team, you will have a unique opportunity to experience investment banking at BNP Paribas and develop in-depth knowledge of the banking sector. During your internship, you will be exposed to a variety of industry and product coverage teams, participating in research, analysis and idea-generation at all levels of M&A and related products (ECM, Leveraged Finance). You will be working in a highly dynamic and international working environment, with access to various internal training sessions to support your development.
Your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Research and data collection on a wide range of companies/industries to assist in the preparation of client presentations and marketing materials
- Analyze financial data of public/private companies and assist on the development of financial models for forecasting and valuation
- Assist in the day to day execution of live mandates
Candidate profile:
- Recent university graduate or Master student in the last year of his/her/their studies
- Strong academic record in Economics, Finance or a related discipline
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated interest in M&A: previous internship experience preferred, but not required
- Strong MS Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- A strong work ethic, adaptable mindset and the ability to work diligently in a fast-paced team environment will be determinative for a successful internship
