Ultimate chemical element, hydrogen is the main component of Sun and stars. On earth, it can be found in water, and in all living things. But it is its ability to reduce CO2 emissions on which we will focus here. We often hear that hydrogen vehicles are particularly environmentally friendly, as they would reject only water. Why, in which case, is hydrogen not used to a greater extent to address the challenge of energy transition ?
