France's Amelie Mauresmo has pulled out of the Strasbourg WTA tournament (May 19-25) because of rib muscle pain, the former world number one said on Wednesday.
The world number 23 had to withdraw from events in Berlin and Rome for the same reason.
"It wouldn't be advisable (to take part in Strasbourg)," she said. "I haven't touched a racquet for two weeks and I'm set to see the doctor on Friday morning. It would be good if I could have 10 days practice before Roland-Garros."
The French Open takes place from May 25 to June 8.
