BNP Paribas partner to the World Forum for a Responsible Economy

The 12th World Forum, which brings stakeholders in responsible economy from around the world together each year, is taking place from 16 to 18 October 2018 in Lille. For the third consecutive year, BNP Paribas is a Premium Partner of the event, and will take an active part in sharing best practices between companies that do business in a responsible way.

Companies and territories - the new global order

Organised by Réseau Alliances, the World Forum builds communities of practice around responsible procurement, corporate diversity, an economy of functionality and cooperation, sustainable mobility and social business.

The theme of this year’s Forum, which takes place in Lille from 16 to 18 October, is “Companies and territories”. Participants will have 3 days in which to explore the following issues: The company and its region(s), The rise of a responsible regional economy, Regional attractiveness, and Relationships between regions. An opportunity to talk about concrete solutions to promote and develop a responsible economy.

On the programme for the 12th edition: topic-based seminars, round-tables and conferences, workshops, a think tank, and much more. Participants will be able to discover responsible best practices from companies and regions around the world, share ideas and meet entrepreneurs who are reinventing the role of companies in society.

BNP Paribas, partner to the Forum for the 3rd year running

Aware of the essential role that a responsible economy has to play in the transformation of French Society, BNP Paribas has made the choice to support the most innovative players. BNP Paribas’s Retail Banking in France strives to bring stakeholders in each region together and to unite energies around a new generation of entrepreneurs who are building an inclusive, sustainable economy. 

Supporting over 500 structures in France, BNP Paribas commits its energy to social entrepreneurs at all stages of their life cycle: financing, support and visibility. Over the years, BNP Paribas has built partnerships with key players in Social Entrepreneurship in France. In 2017, BNP Paribas created the label Act for Impact, a single banner that covers all the components of its SE facility to promote regional cooperation and unite all energies around entrepreneurs who are transforming society. 

This year, the Group is taking part in several Forum events: 

  • Tuesday, 16 October 

    from 10 am to 12.30 pm
    Marie-Claire Capobianco, Head of the French networks and member of the BNP Paribas Group Executive Committee, will talk at the opening plenary session. 

    From 2 to 4 pm 
    Networking session on the topic “Acting in favour of regional employment” – Youth and enterprise forum. Speaker: Guillaume Curnier, Regional Director – BNP Paribas Retail Banking in France

    From 6 to 8.30 pm at WAI, Paris
    Raphaèle Leroy, Director of Corporate Commitment at BNP Paribas Retail Banking in France, participates in a conference on "Engaging in Business Opportunities for Businesses".

  • Thursday, 18 October

    from 9 to 10.30 am 
    Raphaèle Leroy, Director of Corporate Commitment at BNP Paribas Retail Banking in France, will talk about social innovation during a co-building workshop to decode social innovation for young regional players who want to become involved, and for companies in particular. How to get involved in social innovation; How to co-build with the different players (associations, communities and social entrepreneurs); How to find an economic model.
