Nominations at Commercial & Personal Banking in France and BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions

BNP Paribas entrusts its Commercial & Personal Banking in France to Isabelle Loc.

Isabelle Loc, previously Director and Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions, takes over the management of Commercial & Personal Banking in France as of March 18. She succeeds Marguerite Bérard in this position and joins the BNP Paribas Executive Committee. She will report to Thierry Laborde, Chief Operating Officer of BNP Paribas and Head of Commercial, Personal Banking & Services (CPBS).

Isabelle Loc, 41, had been Director and Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions since May 2021. She previously held the position of Head of Real Assets in the EMEA region for BNP Paribas CIB (Capital Markets), specialising in consulting and financing for the energy, infrastructure, transport, and real estate sectors. From 2016 to 2018, Isabelle Loc was Senior Banker, in charge of strategic clients at BNP Paribas. She joined the BNP Paribas Group in 2010, within CIB’s Global Equity & Commodity Derivatives teams, before being appointed Secretary to the Group’s Executive Committee in 2013. Isabelle Loc began her career with McKinsey & Company. She is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and Columbia University.

Neil Pein is appointed Director and Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions.

Effective Monday 18 March 2024, Neil Pein, previously Head of Payments for Group BNP Paribas, succeeds Isabelle Loc as Director and Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions. Neil Pein will report to Thierry Laborde, Chief Operating Officer of BNP Paribas and Head of Commercial, Personal Banking & Services (CPBS).

"With his extensive experience in the Group, Neil has all the qualities needed to support the development of Leasing Solutions, a business in which he knows the challenges and the teams. I'm sure that Neil will be able to take up the torch from Isabelle, who has successfully led the transformation of this business at the heart of the real economy", commented Thierry Laborde, Chief Operating Officer of BNP Paribas and Head of CPBS.

Neil Pein, 42, had been Head of Payments for Group BNP Paribas since 2021, after participating in the industrial transformation of this business since 2018, through the creation of the Axepta BNP Paribas Business Line, serving retailers, or the constitution of the "New Digital Business" business line, which brings together payment-related Fintechs within the Group (Nickel, Floa, Lyf). After starting his career in the financial markets at Goldman Sachs, Neil Pein joined BNP Paribas in 2007 as an Equity derivatives trader. From 2013 to 2016, he worked in the Group’s Financial Management department on acquisitions, divestments, and capital optimisation operations. Neil Pein was then Sales Director for technology equipment for the Leasing activity in France within BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions. Neil Pein is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and holds a Master of Science from New York University.
