Viva Technology 2023: to meet societal and environmental challenges
With 20% more floor space and 2,500 exhibitors, Viva Technology 2023 aims to welcome around 100,000 visitors. The menu for this "expanded" edition features major Tech themes such as artificial intelligence - with AI-related technologies attracting much attention and accounting for almost 20% of the start-ups present at the event - and cybersecurity, as well as the energy transition and climate tech. With the forthcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games just around the corner, sports technology will also be well represented. Last but not least, innovation that also incorporates inclusion and diversity into their approach will be exhibited. For the first time this year, a hub dedicated to Female Technology (Femtech) will address topics relating to women's well-being, and in particular women's health.
There will also be a special focus on Korea, the guest of honour at VivaTech 2023, as a forerunner in the global digital economy in a number of sectors.

"In Tech We Trust"
Conferences, themed events, pitches and demonstrations of our innovative products and services will punctuate these four days resolutely focused on the innovations proposed by BNP Paribas and its partner start-ups. The three BtoB days will be organised around 3 main themes:
- Wednesday 14 june: MOBILITY FOR ALL, sustainable mobility for everyone
- Thursday15 june : DATA FOR CHANGE
- Friday 16 june : PAYMENT FOR SIMPLE LIFE, payments that simplify life
In a Lab area of over 500 m2, visitors will be welcomed by our experts and a selection of partner start-ups, who will present their latest innovations co-developed with start-ups.
On the payments theme, visitors will be able to explore the Group's payment solutions via a unique immersive experience allowing participants to choose between different purchasing paths, each ending with a payment interaction according to their profile: customer, independent or retailer, for example.
At the main stage at VivaTech, Marguerite Bérard, Head of Commercial Banking in France, will be speaking on the afternoon of Friday 16 June about the financing of Tech, and more specifically Deep Tech.
On Wednesday 14 June at 11.15am, Isabelle Loc, Director of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions, will be taking part in a conference on the new challenges of mobility.
Also in the morning and along the theme of Sustainable Mobility, we will announce the launch of a new, free digital platform designed to help our customers through the steps of buying a vehicle, from selection to delivery, financing, carbon footprint, insurance and associated services. A cross-business project that mobilised French Retail Banking, BNP Paribas Cardif, BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Arval teams.

Recruit differently! "Unexpected dating"
VivaTechnology will also be an opportunity to meet future candidates. No fewer than 50 job ambassadors will be on hand to allow candidates to explore an immersive experience that will take them behind the scenes of their future job! This is thanks in no small part to our major participative UnexpectedJobs campaign, during which the Group's 190,000 employees were invited to rename their job titles to tell a different and more creative story about their missions, and thus reveal their day-to-day impact.
This dedicated space will also host sessions for ambassadors to talk about their jobs, mentoring sessions, and even to hold pre-recruitment interviews with our teams for our many job vacancies in the digital and IT sectors.
VIVA Tech 2023: an experiential day for the general public
As every year, this major tech event will close with a day open to the general public on Saturday 17 June. The curious and trend-savvy will be treated to a variety of unique experiences. Without giving away the full programme that we have put together at the BNP Paribas Lab ... film fans will be able to get up close and personal with the iconic Batmobile, used in Tim Burton's 1989 film.
At the initiative of the WoGiTech collective (Women & Girls in Tech), the Lab will be welcoming French female gamers for a 100% Girls & Gaming programme: games, demonstrations, and conferences to demonstrate the place of women in the digital world and help raise awareness among young people of the need to combat cyber harassment. There will also be workshops on robots and artificial intelligence, as well as plenty of other surprises!
The WoGiTech collective will invite the public along to join a Twitch live stream with the “Afrogameuses” (Afro-gamers) to share on topics relating to gender diversity in the digital world: round tables, innovations, walkabouts and exclusive interviews with tech role models throughout the 4 days of the show.
