VIVA Technology 2025: the "new frontiers of innovation"
With an expected 14,000 startups, 160 countries represented and almost 165,000 visitors (a record figure for the 2024 event), this is a must-attend event for the world's tech leaders. It's an opportunity to explore new technological, commercial, geographical and responsible frontiers, with AI omnipresent on every stand and at the heart of all the very latest innovations. VIVA Technology will nevertheless also be staying the course on Responsibility and is renewing its Impact Bridge, dedicated to innovations with a social and environmental impact, in partnership with EDF.
Canada as "country of the year"
Among the global tech guest stars featured this year, such as Joe Tsai of Alibaba Group, Vanessa Wyche of NASA, Yann Lecun of Meta and Arthur Mensch of Mistral AI, Jensen Huang, founder and chairman of Nvidia , will be taking to the stage at the Dôme de Paris on Wednesday 11 June to unveil Nvidia's latest technological advances and share his vision of AI.
After Japan in 2024, the 2025 edition will feature Canada as “country of the year”, represented by more than a hundred Canadian companies.
Startups at VIVA Technology will take part in challenges and receive a number of awards, including 2 prizes for the most innovative and/or impactful:
- Innovation award of the year
- Tech4change Award, dedicated to impact startups, with 3 categories of winners and a selection of 150 startups.
BNP Paribas at VIVA Technology 2025: welcome to the House of Innovation!
This year, BNP Paribas welcomes its BtoB visitors and the general public to the House of BNP Paribas. This experiential concept will take visitors on a journey through the different rooms of a house, showing how Tech is transforming the customer experience by presenting start-ups in their everyday environment. Particular emphasis will be placed on the Bank's forward-looking vision.
Two Tech partners are joining forces with this house of innovation: Mistral AI, with which BNPP has signed a strategic partnership and FNAC/Darty which, as a tech retailer, will equip the House of BNP Paribas with connected innovations (connected fridge, connected mirror, etc.)

During the three BtoB days, a series of discussions and conferences will take place in House of BNP Paribas living room:
Morning: Financing and supporting the growth of champions
- 10am : “From startup to scaleup: financing strategies and growth", with an analysis of BNPP's financing strategies and banking solutions to support tomorrow's unicorns.
-10.30am: BNP Paribas INVESTOR PITCH: Investor types at BNP Paribas present their venture cases and pitch their approaches, needs and methods. With BNP Paribas Développement, Opera Tech Ventures, BNP Paribas Venture Capital Ecological Transition, CIB Fintechs & Research, Invest Impact.
-11am: DEMO DAY / PITCH AI STARTUPS With BNP Paribas Développement; BNP Paribas Venture Capital Ecological Transition ; CIB Fintechs & Research et Invest Impact.
-11.30am: "How BNP Paribas supports tech entrepreneurs in their growth" , with a presentation of BNP Paribas' support programmes by Alexandra Rouchon-Levy, Director of WAI Paris and Florian BERLIAT Head of Startup Program - B! UP EXPLORE.
Afternoon: Innovating in payments, reinventer the experience
-2pm Focus on a: sur un “venture building model?" or how to build a start-up to respond rapidly to a customer need via a start-up studio. With the example of MUCHO, a construction initiated by Commercial & Personal Banking in France.
Morning: Cybersecurity and transaction protection
Afternoon: Blockchain, regulation and responsible AI
-2.30am: "How to build robust, secure and industrial AI to transform customer relations"
-4pm: “How Can Companies Navigate the New Age of AI-Powered Cyber Threats?”with Olivier Nautet, CISO & Head of Cyber Security & Digital Fraud, BNP Paribas.
Morning: Mobility, Energy, Robotics... Accelerating the transition with Tech
Afternoon: Customer experience, AI and HR
-2.pm : Sofia Merlo, Head of Human Resources at BNP Paribas, will take part in a conference on the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) stand on the subject of training employees in AI.
-3.45pm: Renaud Dumora, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Investment & Protection Services, will be taking part in a conference on the theme of Trust by Design: Engineering the AI Companions of Tomorrow with Luc Julia, Chief Scientific Officer, Renault Group. An opportunity to reiterate the complementary nature of tools and human advice.
-3.20pm : "Generative AI at the service of Hello bank! customers", with Bertrand Cizeau, Head of Hello bank! France, Guillaume Bour, Head of Enterprise EMEA, Mistral AI and Alex Combessie, Co-founder of Giskard.
Startups from the House of BNP Paribas at VIVA Technology 2025
The Group's support systems are proving their worth, assisting 88% of Next40 companies, 78% of French Tech 120 companies, and 80% of French Tech 2030 companies. This is backed up by a network of bankers specialising in the tech sector.
From Switzerland to Turkey, Sweden, Poland and Tunisia, the House of BNP Paribas will once again be welcoming startups from across Europe. To make these innovations more tangible, visual and immersive, some start-ups will even be exhibiting their innovations in person!
Let’s take a full tour of this house of innovation.
The OFFICE will bring together technologies that specifically focus on AI, with 4 startups present:
- Silent Eight, founded in Poland in 2013, uses artificial intelligence to detect cyber risks.
- UNIQUE, a Swiss startup founded in 2021, provides advanced BtoB AI solutions for financial services.
- KAI, since 2023, this French startup, has been offering an AI platform to automate database knowledge management.
- INBOLT, since 2019, the French startup has been offering software for guiding robotic arms. His robot will be on display. It is financed by BNP Paribas Développement.
In the BATHROOM:
- MOKA.CARE, the startup, is supported by BNP Paribas 3Step IT and accelerated at WAI Paris. It develops a solution for companies so that they can take charge of the mental health of their employees.
- Kumulus Water, the Franco-Tunisian start-up accelerated at WAI Paris, (BNP Paribas' startup accelerator which celebrated its 10th anniversary last April) and financed by BNP Paribas Développement, will exhibit its patented Amphore robot. It is the device it has designed to capture the humidity contained in the ambient air and produce drinking water. This innovation is particularly promising for the many countries that are experiencing drinking water supply problems. (see image opposite>)
Finally, the GARAGE will be showcasing innovations in sustainable mobility and energy renovation:
- AIRA, a Swedish start-up founded in 2022, which offers very compact but also very efficient heat pumps that use pure outdoor air as a more ecological solution for producing heat (Aira Indoor Unit Compact).
- BEEM Energy, aFrench startup founded in 2018 and financed by BNP Paribas Développement, designs a charging station: the Beem Charger
- Komma, the Swiss start-up, is developing an electric mobility solution between cars and motorcycles. An immersive XR experience with a VR headset will allow you to discover the advantages of this small, compact and urban vehicle.

Talents in Tech: welcome to the House of BNP Paribas!
On Saturday 14 June, a day dedicated to the general public, House of BNP Paribas will be opening its doors to tech talent. Through experiences that are fun, educational, immersive and technological, we'll be introducing potential candidates to the Group's wide range of tech careers, and we will offer to introduce the younger participants to budget management.

If you want to discover the diversity of jobs in IT, Tech, Data and AI, you really should swing by the House of BNP Paribas. Working in 40 different business lines, our 30,000 employees around the world provide all our customers with market-standard digital solutions. Their role is key to securing our product offers and processes, to ensure the Bank's stability and performance.
Our experts and ambassadors for Tech, AI and Data will be on hand to share their experience with visitors and talk about the positions available within the Group.Student coders from B-School by BNP Paribas will be offering coding lessons in the House’s office.
To support young people as they enter the workplace, the VR workshop equipped with the bodyswaps app will be held in the bathroom, and will offer an immersive, interactive experience as close as possible to the reality of the world of work - a behind the scenes of a job interview.
To find out about the range of training courses offered by BNP Paribas, the "Kitchen Talks: tech edition", hosted by content creator Yacine Sqalli, is a must-attend event. Informal discussions to find out more about B-School by BNP Paribas, for example. The BNP Paribas school offers two Master's degrees in IT, including 1 professional Master's degree in Information Systems Architecture and Software Applications.

Raising awareness of budget management!
In the House of BNP Paribas library, there are several fun, educational and interactive activities designed to raise awareness and encourage learning about budget management from an early age, including Monopoly Go in the morning, and Budget Responsible (an innovative educational programme created by BNP Paribas Personal Finance with the support of Fabbrica, which specialises in educational content).
