Heading into 2025 with an ambitious strategic plan

At BNP Paribas, 2022 began with the presentation of GTS 2025, the Group’s new strategic plan, with a clear ambition: consolidate our European leadership in order to speed up our clients’ transition to a sustainable economy.

BNP Paribas supports the economy

€700 million

As part of its support for SMEs in Europe, BNP Paribas has been offering the “European Guarantee Fund” to its clients in France since February 2022. After Government-Backed Loans (French PGEs) and the Participative Recovery Loans (French PPRs), this additional aid is being set up at a European level to help SMEs.

BNP Paribas is releasing more than €700 million in guaranteed loans (of the €2.1 billion released for France). In France, the EGF is only aimed at “small” SMEs: fewer than 250 employees and turnover not exceeding €50 million. Companies with a balance sheet total of less than €43 million are also eligible.

BNP Paribas completes acquisition of FLOA, French leader in split payments

The number of Floa clients as of 30 September 2022. BNP Paribas finalised the acquisition of Floa in early 2022 and the number of clients grew by almost 15% in one year. Read the press release.

BNP Paribas, European leader in film and audio-visual financing

In March 2022, BNP Paribas signed an agreement with Neuflize OBC and UGC under which the Group will own 100% of the capital of Cofiloisirs, a major player in the financing of cinema and audio-visual products in France and abroad for almost 50 years. In becoming the sole shareholder of Cofiloisirs, BNP Paribas will strengthen its position as the European leader in film and audio-visual financing.

BNP Paribas and its employees mobilised for Ukraine

€3.5 million

This is the amount of donations collected by mid-April 2022, via the Group’s Rescue & Recover Fund (the initiative was launched in early March) thanks to donations from employees and customers, with a 50% matching contribution by the Group.

These donations were given to the French Red Cross, MSF (Doctors without Borders), CARE and IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare).

€10 million was committed to the UN High Commission for Refugees, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and MSF (Doctors without Borders) when the conflict broke out.

BNP Paribas presents its first “Climate Analysis and Alignment Report” and its targets for reducing carbon intensity by 2025

€150 billion

This is the target set by the Group in terms of sustainable loans granted to corporate, institutional and individual clients between 2022 and 2025 for sustainable projects related to environmental or social issues.

BNP Paribas has also committed to allocate more than €200 billion to the transition of its corporate clients to a low-carbon economy by 2025.

BNP Paribas aims to recruit 7,000 people in France in 2022

To support the implementation of its strategic plan, BNP Paribas plans to recruit 7,000 employees in France, particularly in the areas of sales to individual and corporate customers, IT (data, cloud, cybersecurity, etc.) and support and control functions (audit, compliance, risk, etc.).

In 2021, 21,000 people were hired by BNP Paribas worldwide to the around 300 different professions that are employed by the Group.Once again awarded “Top Employer Europe” in 2022, the Group received special praise for its diversity and inclusion policy, the career prospects offered to its teams and its concern for well-being at work.

Increasing the number of women working in IT is a strategic challenge for BNP Paribas. Our goal? To have 37% women in our IT sector by the end of 2024.

BNP Paribas supports young tennis talent worldwide

The number of young tennis talents supported by the BNP Paribas “Teams Jeunes Talents” programme, through seven teams in six countries.

Since its creation in 2018, the “Team BNP Paribas Jeunes Talents” programme has been providing human and financial support to young tennis talents, in order to promote their chances of reaching the highest level.
