Global Banking APAC (GBA) is committed to delivering growth and capturing market share in alignment with the global strategy, ensuring that revenues grow faster than costs and capital. 

To support this, GB APAC has established a new team, Strategy and Industrialization, with the mandate to:

  • Drive business strategy and related initiatives to achieve profitable growth.
  • Lead the transformation of the operating model, notably through offshoring and optimization of Front-to-Ops-to-IT-to-Finance processes, aiming at freeing up bandwidth, improving cost efficiency, enhancing scalability and robustness, with a view to support a sustainable and profitable growth.

Position Purpose

This role is part of GBA industrialization program. The Project Manager will support: 

·         The build-up of the GBA ISPL platform.

·         The transition management of various offshoring initiatives, in full coordination and consistency with the overall program, as well as onshore teams involved in the initiatives.

·         The processes optimization through continuous improvement. 

This position will be based in Mumbai and may be supported on a need basis by external consultants.

Responsibilities

Project Management key responsibilities:

·         Coordinate with onshore project teams and GB APAC industrialization program to ensure consistency and full alignment across initiatives.

·         Ensure timely delivery of the projects within the set budget and scope.

·         Drive and track adherence to milestones, deliverables, and timelines.

·         Prepare and deliver project updates to stakeholders.

·         Ensure all Risk, Assumptions, Issues & Dependencies (RAID) are identified, documented, and addressed promptly.

·         Maintain project documentation with proper version control for controls and audit management.

Missions:

·         Platform creation:

o    Support the creation of the ISPL GBA Platform, working together with ISPL and regional functions (e.g. HR, Finance, Premises).

·         Accompany offshoring initiatives:

o    Drive in full coordination with onshore teams the outsourcing governance formalization (committees, follow-up, coordination with regions & territories).

o    Support initiatives in their offshore transition management (e.g. HR, Finance, IT, Documentation).

·         Continuous improvement:

o    Conduct post-offshoring reviews to evaluate performance against defined objectives, document lessons learned and execute action plans to improve project outcomes and optimize processes.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Technical:              

·         Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, with significant project management background, preferably in the financial services / banking industry.

·         Proven experiences in: 

o    Driving the implementation of Target Operating Models involving the execution of offshoring initiatives.

o    Reviewing value chains in the perspective of optimizing processes.

·         Previous experience in building new offshore platform is a plus. 

·         Strong ability to navigate within ISPL ecosystem, to ensure efficient roll-out, anticipate and solve potential roadblocks.

·         Ability to smoothly collaborate with onshore stakeholders to ensure smooth onshore/offshore articulation.

·         Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to lead initiatives with ownership.

·         Methodical, analytical, and organized, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·         Good interpersonal / communication skills and team player, with the ability to effectively influence and work with stakeholders at all levels.

·         Previous exposure to Global Banking streams and products is preferable.

·         Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
