Business Overview:

Corporate Coverage North America is responsible for advising corporate clients and delivering an array of the firm's services across strategically targeted client groups in various business sectors.

The Low Carbon Transition & Infrastructure Group (“the group”) is responsible for advising and delivering BNP Paribas’ full product suite for its vast corporate and institutional client base in the energy, natural resources, renewables and infrastructure space, as well as developing expertise across the sector. 

This role will focus on supporting the growth of our footprint across the infrastructure space, with a particular focus in key investment banking products including M&A advisory, leveraged financed and equity capital markets. The role will involve managing client relationships with financial sponsors, infrastructure funds, and their portfolio companies.

Responsibilities: 

Marketing

  • Provide support to MDs / Ds in their marketing and origination efforts, including owning the pitch book / materials development processes with product teams.
  • Manage select client and prospect accounts autonomously.

Transaction execution

  • Lead execution of transactions across the bank’s full product suite on a day-to-day basis, including client onboarding, due diligence, compliance, and recertification processes etc.
  • Contribute client / relationship information for internal approval processes.
  • Cultivate relationships across the organization to ensure seamless execution of transactions, acting as a liaison / principal back up for senior bankers.

Reporting

  • Take responsibility for completing and/or reviewing infrastructure activity and client data, including Customer Relationship Management portal, transaction pipelines, deal databases, revenues, and client dialogue etc
  • Structure and manage development of responses to ad hoc reporting requests and coordinate among regional stakeholders as needed

Development of sectorial content and expertise

  • Spearhead development of market update presentations and market databases / analysis to inform and support client dialogue.
  • Structure and develop deliverables for global strategic initiatives (e.g. development of new policies / internal guidelines, periodic review of risk envelope etc) with guidance of MDs and Ds.
  • Lead organization and supporting materials for industry-specific branding engagements (e.g. hosted client events, internal and external conferences etc).
  • Project management on long-term strategic initiatives as needed.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience at an investment bank focused on investment banking and capital markets transactions, including M&A
  • Deep knowledge, expertise, and transaction history within the infrastructure space, especially in power and digital infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of complex transactions, creating buyer/seller strategies, deal structuring and negotiation.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBA preferred but not required.

The expected starting salary range for this position is $225,000 to $235,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
