About the role
As a Used Vehicle Valuation Specialist, you’ll help us understand what vehicles are worth in the used market. Working with vehicle and market data, you’ll support our valuation decisions and help ensure they accurately reflect current market conditions. You don’t need previous automotive experience. You might already love cars, or this could be a completely new area for you. What matters is that you’re comfortable working with data, curious about what it can tell you and keen to learn.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Using vehicle and market data to support accurate used vehicle valuations
- Reviewing data and identifying values or information that may need further investigation
- Using Excel to analyse and maintain valuation data
- Building your knowledge of vehicles, market trends and the factors that influence used vehicle values
You'll also have opportunities to represent your team at vehicle manufacturer events, evaluate new models and demonstrator vehicles and provide feedback to support valuation decisions.
What we’re looking for
You’re comfortable working with numbers and data and enjoy learning how things work. You’ll be naturally curious, keen to build your knowledge and willing to investigate when something doesn’t look quite right. You don’t need to know the automotive market already, but you’ll need the interest and enthusiasm to learn about it.
You’ll also be able to demonstrate:
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot when something doesn’t look right
- Curiosity and the ability to learn new information quickly
- An interest in cars or the automotive market, or the curiosity to develop one
The package
We offer a basic starting salary of up to £33,000, plus a bonus of up to £1,100. We also offer 25 days holiday as standard, plus bank holidays and an extra day off for your birthday.
