Main Purpose Statement 

To support the organisation’s ALM and Treasury functions by managing liquidity reporting, funding relationships, compliance, and stakeholder communication through accurate analysis, modelling, and timely delivery of key internal and external reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building relationships internally (across business units, and with shareholder) as well as externally in order to meet various deliverables
  • Periodic reporting to our shareholder (ALM as well as any other reporting requirements)
  • Periodic and ad hoc reporting to various funders (bank and institutional)
  • Maintain the Funding Dashboard
  • Maintain financial models reflecting liquidity and rate gap analysis.
  • Preparing monthly Treasury Forum pack, co-ordinating and presenting the pack to the relevant members
  • Perform monthly variance analysis budget vs actual with detailed reconciliations and assist with budget cycle preparation
  • Ensure KYB compliance for all financial institutions, on boarding and recertifications
  • Assistance in treasury activities for regulatory and internal policy compliance.
  • Assistance in monitor upcoming maturities and managing roll over liquidity events
  • Assistance in collating information for credit reviews with banks, rating agencies and all other external information requests
  • Assistance in preparation of ALCO pack, board presentations and other internal information requests
  • Maintaining Investor Relations website
  • Ensure that all SENS announcements are drafted and released
  • Ensure all relevant documentation (agreements, policies, investor packs etc) are stored in the relevant location
  • Assistance in internal and external audit request.
  • Any ad hoc tasks that arise in the ALM Treasury space

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Finance/Accounting Degree
  • Honours degree or completion of 3-year SAICA articles
  • 3-5 years relevant experience preferably within a Financial Services organisation
  • Previous experience working within a corporate banking or treasury team
  • Proficient in Excel (intermediate - advanced)
  • Knowledge of banking compliance – advantageous
  • People management experience (preferred)
