About the job

  • The Operational Permanent Control Trainee (OPC) will integrate the ROCC Office which is a key transversal Department within BNP Paribas Portugal Branch. Its main mission is to provide quality services and solutions to BNPP Portugal. The department is also responsible for delivering regulatory reports

Your Main Activities Are

  • Prepare notes and synthesis documents and deliver comprehensive and synthetic reports in a timely and efficient manner
  • Execute the necessary daily reconciliations and controls
  • Use different tools to collect and analyse data, as well as structuring queries and performing routine maintenance of reports
  • Ensure data input and quality check
  • Identify actions to resolve identified discrepancies
  • Ability to report progress, risks and issues to the Management 
  • Analyse the existing processes in place and propose action plans to improve
  • Liaise and interact with the several stakeholders on a daily basis
  • Contribute to projects within perimeter and associated procedures and SOPs updates
  • Collect/ treat/ consolidate data and information linked to the activities
  • Contribute to the organization set-up and support governance formalization
  • Contribute actively to the team activities and dynamics with positive attitude
  • Strong contribution to the Transversal projects within the Department 

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Master Degree in Finance, Management or Economics
  • Proficiency in English
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (including pivots) and MS Office tools
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Great organizational skills
  • Attention to detail, adherence to the highest quality standards
  • Reliability and capacity to deliver results with strict deadlines
  • Polyvalent, flexible and able to adapt
  • Team player
