Position Purpose
The person will be a key member of the Beagle team that is tasked to deliver multiple complex projects. This role is within the GM IT team. Focus will primarily be on the evolving the web platform for GM IT within Corporate & Institutional Banking.
The role is for a Java full stack developer with experience of working within a dynamic and demanding environment reacting to changing business needs who works equally well as an individual or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Enhancement, Development, Bug fixing primarily using Core Java, Struts2, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Angular, Hibernate and Oracle.
- Independently work in application development & maintenance/enhancement projects
- Analyze and document different approaches to solving technical problems or provide business solutions.
- Demonstrate good understanding of the Functional aspects of the applications.
- Conduct Integration, Regression /Functional Testing
- Meet deadlines for deliverables.
- Coordinate with Team Lead and keep Team Lead appraised of issues that affect the project and the deliverables of the project.
- Ensure that the project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development life cycle and day to day development work.
- Team Management & Mentoring, Multi-tasking capabilities.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

- Hands on Development Experience on Core Java 1.6 and above.
- Working experience and understanding of Spring MVC, Spring Boot, REST API, Hibernate.
- Hands on Experience on PL SQL using Oracle 19c and above, with clear understanding of Stored Procedures, Triggers and Indexes
- Knowledge of OO Concepts, SOLID principles, design patterns.
- Excellent working knowledge of Internet Web 2.0: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
- Excellent working knowledge of Angular framework
- Working knowledge of Application servers: Tomcat, Apache
- Good Analytical skills, ability to find solutions to technical problems.
