Within CIB ITO Production organisation, Production Factories domain provides platforms to build digital services around DevSecOps, Automation & Observability and Global Support Services. These services include providing DevSecOps pipeline toolchain, Observability, Scheduling, Discovery services and data protection services as well as Command Centre and Crisis management. This includes the design, the support and project deliveries of the platforms as well as on-boarding new customers.
The Smart Automation production team is responsible for production services for the IT Analytics Consulting and Digital Assets clusters. This includes functional and technical support, as well as project implementation for production and non-production platforms. The reach is global and the team will consist of 8 people spread between Paris, Warsaw and Mumbai.
As Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will be part of a multi-disciplined team providing L1 and L2 technical support and project. The role is centred on production support and requires a wide range of technical skills and will work closely with development and infrastructure teams.
Service Reliability Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Pro-actively monitor, manage, and improve availability and performance of the production environments (from presentation and application layers to Infrastructure layers).
- Plan and implement application releases, load tests and configuration changes.
- Have appreciation of production readiness and work with teams to understand user requirements.
- Contribute to medium and high scale technical projects by contributing to architecture review and design, upgrading, and migrating application systems to new platforms.
- Work to a set of prioritised tasks ensuring regular updates ensuring the target solution remains the key focus.
- Understand phased delivery to ensure work is completed to a defined specification and schedule.
- Help identify efficiencies in processes and contribute to their automation.
- Provide feedback and propose solutions to management on performance, capacity, and design issues.
- Document designs and architectures and distribute minutes and meeting actions.
- Work with other teams to respond to incidents and resolve issues promptly, often under pressure, to restore normal services to the business. Therefore, ability to be on call and provide support out of hours may be required.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of containerization solution such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- In-depth knowledge in Linux/Unix and good knowledge on Windows systems.
- Experience of working with common CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible, ArgoCD).
- Good understanding of global infrastructure, firewalls and networking and considerations in these areas.
- Experience in configuring application monitoring tools (such as Dynatrace)
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and scripting methodologies.
- Knowledge of API interaction with Cyberark or Vault and previous exposure to SQL Server, Oracle and noSQL DBs will be an advantage.
- Understanding of cloud-based platforms/solutions and user and server authentication enabling end to end automated release cycles whilst ensuring security is a primary consideration.
- Understanding of application lifecycle and Agile methodology.
- Problem solving approach combined with high interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
