Position Purpose: The IT Sourcing Manager is responsible for the commercial and contractual architecture of the India sourcing project. This role acts as the vital link between Onshore Beneficiaries (Business & IT Managers) and the External Vendor Market. Your mission is to translate the technical and operational needs of our onshore stakeholders into high-quality sourcing strategies, ensuring that the vendors selected provide the exact expertise, cost-efficiency, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
A. Onshore Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Translation
- Beneficiary Alignment: Act as the primary commercial interface for Onshore IT Managers and Business Beneficiaries to understand their technical roadmaps and resource needs.
- Requirement Synthesis: Collaborate with onshore technical leads to translate complex functional and technical requirements into clear, commercially viable Sourcing Specifications.
- Sourcing Advisory: Advise onshore beneficiaries on market trends, pricing benchmarks, and the pros/cons of different delivery models (e.g., Managed Services vs. Staff Augmentation) to ensure their needs are met effectively.
B. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Selection
- Market Intelligence: Conduct continuous research into the Indian IT landscape to identify high-caliber service providers that align with BNP Paribas Cardif’s technical standards.
- RFP & Tender Management: Lead the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process, ensuring that all technical criteria defined by onshore beneficiaries are rigorously evaluated during vendor selection.
- Sourcing Strategy: Execute sourcing decisions that balance technical excellence, cost-optimization, and long-term scalability.
C. Negotiation & Contract Management
- Commercial Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing structures, volume discounts, and contract terms to maximize value for the Group.
- SLA & Contractual Governance: Ensure that all vendor contracts include robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that directly reflect the service quality expected by onshore beneficiaries.
- Contractual Compliance: Ensure all agreements strictly adhere to BNP Paribas Group procurement policies and global cybersecurity/risk standards.
D. Vendor Relationship & Financial Oversight
- Vendor Lifecycle Management: Manage the formal onboarding of new partners and the strategic exit/transition of legacy providers.
- Commercial Escalation: Act as the first point of escalation for any commercial discrepancies, contract breaches, or cost-related deviations impacting the project budget.
- Cost Optimization: Partner with FinOps and Finance to monitor vendor spend and ensure the outsourcing model delivers the expected economic efficiency.
Contributing Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding Execution
- Demand Translation: Convert onshore technical requirements into detailed hiring plans (profile, timing, and priority).
- Talent Coordination: Orchestrate the end-to-end recruitment workflow within ISPL (screening, interviews, and offers) to ensure a seamless talent pipeline.
- Onboarding Management: Support the rapid onboarding of resources to meet project ramp-up needs and ensure "day-one" readiness.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Mastery of the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle (RFP, RFI, RFQ) within a complex IT environment.
- Contract Management: Deep understanding of commercial contract law, specifically regarding IT services, intellectual property, and data privacy.
- Vendor Risk Management (VRM): Ability to assess and mitigate third-party risks in alignment with IT Risk Management and Cybersecurity frameworks.
- Financial Acumen: Proficiency in cost-benefit analysis, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) modeling, and managing complex pricing structures.
- IT Domain Awareness: Foundational understanding of IT infrastructure, application development, and cloud services to communicate effectively with technical beneficiaries.
