About Business line/Function:
Local Accounting Platform
LAP stands for Local Accounting platform. LAP is used in Americas and UK. Initially LAP was London Accounting platform. LAP is a general ledger system which is used by over 1000 users. Corporate Institutional Banking uses LAP. On daily basis LAP receives accounting business events from multiple source systems. These accounting business events are accounted as per the CIB accounting policy and general ledger is prepared by LAP.

Position Purpose
To ensure that the candidate performs the Business analysis and requirements on Accounting application and has worked on General Ledger system with proven experience and good working knowledge of CIB’s core businesses and financial systems.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Liaise with LAP user community and provide functional expertise and consultative support to users
- investigate and resolve functional issues raised by user community or linked to the daily batch report
- Analysing user requirements and business processes,
- Liaising with users and internal counterparts from Finance, IT and Operations in Montreal, New Jersey and Mumbai
- Ensuring on-time quality delivery of all activities assigned

- Providing users with Subject Matter expertise for finance systems
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Technical :
- Good knowledge of Accounting concepts, General Ledger and Capital Market Good understanding of the products used by an Investment Bank Foreign, Interest Rates derivatives, securities, Repos, Credit derivatives
- Comfortable with basic office tools (Teams, MS Word, Outlook)
- Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)

- Proven organizational skills with excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Good systems skills, good understanding of IT databases (although programming skills are not required)
