Responsibilities

Comply with all applicable regulations (local or those defined by Group) and BNPP internal policies, this includes but is not limited to Financial Security, Know Your Client/Costumer/Supplier, Due Diligence, Client Interest Protection, Market Integrity, Professional Ethics and Respect for colleagues.

Strict compliance with the BNP Paribas Code of Conduct: Display an exemplary behaviour aligned with the Mission, Values and Rules of Conduct covering all 7 angles: customers’ interests, financial security, market integrity, professional ethics, respect for colleagues, group protection and involvement with society.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Marketing & Commercial Support: Proactively support Bankers in their regular commercial efforts through marketing and calling activities. Develop strong content for Client pitches and participate in the execution of all types of transactions, including legal negotiations. Conduct market intelligence (ad hoc research, news, industry analysis, etc.). Increase intensity of sustainable pitches by dominating all sustainable solutions, knowledge of the process, and ESG/CSR network. Gradually lead and support Banker’s interactions with clients, becoming a point of contact for normal requests with or without the direct involvement of the Banker. Seek new business opportunities for Banker’s assessment.
  • Networking: Maintain close contact with BNP’s different business lines to source and follow-up on opportunities. Allocate additional time for collaboration with the métiers / business lines (M&A, Project Finance, DCM, LCM, Global Markets, Transaction Banking, etc.) as guided by the Banker. 
  • Client Mapping: ensure adequate client mapping of our client portfolio for Chile & Peru and its respective revenue recognition. Lead internal discussions with different functions to make sure data is up to date and accurate.
  • Reporting: Lead completion and tasks of the Chile & Peru office, including Monthly Revenues, Budget and Forecast exercises, credit data analysis, ensuring the accuracy of monthly figures, etc. Ensure data quality of Weekly Activity output (ppt/email) showcasing proper business information and improving deal narrative for stronger marketing purposes. Improve marketing efforts of deals and franchise highlights through Deal Flashes, Wins of the Week, Internal website, etc. Consolidate and update case studies of the franchise, providing visibility of BNPP’s strong credentials and milestones achieved. Maintain databases of client and industry-wide financial information.
  • Overview KYC Process: Support E2E, RM & Bankers in onboarding and recertifications activities and ensure these are completed in a timely manner. Ensure best practices within the team, improve prioritization process, and coordinate escalations when applicable.
  • Compliance with the Code of Conduct, Rules and Regulations: Act and behave appropriately in accordance with the ethical standards of the Group and regulatory authorities. Comply with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and Group compliance standards, including the 7 themes and the anti-corruption Addendum of the Code of Conduct. Complete mandatory training within the allotted time.

Competences and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or Economics
  • Demonstrated record of academic excellence
  • At least 2 years of experience working in Corporate Finance, Corporate and Investment Banking or management consulting
  • Strong data management and research skills
  • Project management skills is a plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Knowledge of corporate finance theory, corporate and investment culture
  • Detail oriented and reliable with a complete focus on quality results/deliverables
  • Strong commercial skills
  • Working proficiency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written 
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point. Basic Bloomberg functions is a plus.
