Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • To perform risk related assessment/exercise such identifying, measuring, and monitoring key risks across the organization. Risk Specialist is expected to maintain constructive relationship with business lines and other various stakeholders, and to execute the risk assessment in accordance with the standards prescribed by the organisation.
  • To prepare applicable local risk related reporting to management and Board committees such as but not limited to Executive Risk Committee, Board Risk Management Committee, and Board of Directors. For this purpose, Risk Specialist is also responsible to liaise with relevant regional Risk teams and local stakeholders as and when necessary.  Ensure timeliness and quality of the reports for risk oversight.
  • To research and collect data and information from relevant stakeholders/publication/website and to facilitate the performance of relevant stress testing exercises, including data or information required as part of ICAAP.
  • To perform risk related review or exercises including any permanent control framework, independent credit reviews as and when applicable or required by the Bank.
  • To ensure that all risk related local policies and procedures are updated and relevant to the organisation. From time to time to undertake relevant studies or research when there is a need to issue a new policy/procedure in line with the Group or regulatory requirements.
  • To ensure relevant information as requested by local regulators, rating agencies and auditors / consultants are attended to and addressed in a timely fashion. For this purpose, a close liaison with Compliance Department is required. Risk Specialist should update CRO prior to the release of any data or information to the regulators or external parties.
  • To drive risk initiatives/projects.

Requirements :

Degree in relevant fields and minimum 5 - 10 years relevant experience in risk management functions.

Familiar with local regulatory requirements
