Position Purpose:
· Joining the Data Office IT Payment Services is a direct contribution to the Data strategy of Payment Services, working closely with the DCIO. You will evolve at the heart of a stimulating environment, at the intersection of regulatory, technological and business data-related challenges. You will take part in leading projects (data asset documentation, data flow reliability, Data architecture evolution, etc.), and will be recognized as an internal expert on the quality and governance of Payment Services data. · Main mission of Data office is to ensure the quality, security, compliance, traceability, performance and continuity of data across the entire Payment Services Information System. The integrated Data Officer in this team directly contributes to this mission within the context of strengthening IT PS's Data Management governance.
· In this context, the Data Office IT PS operates according to 2 major axes:
o Compliance & protection: adherence to regulatory standards (GDPR, internal governance policies) and assurance of data protection (security, access management and traceability);
o Data quality: monitoring and continuous improvement of the quality and reliability of data, including through regular IT deliverable checks and contributing to the enhancement of business data quality.
· Missions of the Data Office IT Payment Services team:
o Governance & Compliance: Deployment of the data governance framework (charters, policies and processes) to ensure the compliance of the data ecosystem with internal regulations and standards. The team defines and monitors data management KPIs, ensures the application of protection policies (confidentiality, access) and contributes to the governance of data-related control plans. She notably chairs a Data Governance Committee to ensure alignment of data assets with IT PS's Data Management strategy. A data governance and compliance dashboard for Data Management maturity is regularly presented to the IT PS Management.
o Data Architecture & Projects: The team ensures alignment of data models with business needs and Group standards, and implements full traceability of data and data flows (data lineage). She supports projects in the Data areas (compliance, data model, data dictionaries, quality and strengthening of data security, etc.). The Data Office IT PS plays a cross-functional coordination role between business requirements, technical requirements and regulatory obligations in order to achieve quality and compliance objectives.
o Support and assistance: The team trains and raises awareness among staff on tools and best practices (e.g. Data Management tools, data dictionary, flow mapping, compliance with quality and security standards, Data Privacy principles She also ensures the daily monitoring of Data topics (KPI monitoring, on-site support, responses to requests) to embed the Data culture and governance rigor in daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Direct Responsibilities
· Data Governance & Data Reference Frameworks: Manage data reference frameworks (application data dictionaries) using the internal data cataloging tool (WeData – based on Collibra). You ensure comprehensive documentation of key data (shared definitions, metadata, owners) and proper alignment of technical and business frameworks.
· Modeling & Data Lineage: Collaborate closely with project teams and the IT Data Manager to ensure the design of application data models, guaranteeing their consistency and completeness in line with business needs. You ensure documentation and maintenance of data traceability across all flows (data lineage), providing end-to-end visibility of every critical data point from its source to its consumption (a prerequisite for managing risks and ensuring compliance).
· Data Quality: Ensure the implementation and execution of data quality control plans defined by the business, by steering continuous improvement action plans dedicated to critical data. As an expert, you share your analyses and recommendations to improve data quality and strengthen trust in their use.
· Operational support & continuous improvement: Supporting and raising awareness among technical and business teams on a daily basis on Data topics: training in the use of governance tools (data dictionary, data flow mapping), advice on good data management practices, and responses to specific requests. You propose solutions to continuously improve data resilience and integrity, and contribute to the optimization of governance processes.
· KPI Data Management: Contributing to the production of the Data Management Dashboard.
Contributing Responsibilities
· Ability to drive and contribute to Data projects (quality, security, architecture, etc.) in a cross-functional manner, in a complex environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sense of rigor to formalize and document results (reports, traceability matrices).
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Data Modeling & Management – Mastery of conceptual, logical, and physical data models; strong knowledge of databases and data integration technologies (ETL/ELT, data pipelines).
- Data Catalogue & Data Lineage – Practical experience with a cataloging/metadata tool (ideally weData/Collibra or equivalent) to manage data dictionaries. Solid understanding of data lineage principles and ability to document data flow traceability.
- Data Quality & Compliance – Knowledge of data quality standards and methods, as well as experience in implementing quality controls. Awareness of regulatory compliance issues (GDPR), data governance and security.
- Data Visualization: Hands-on experience with a Data Visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau...)
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify Data issues and train/evangelize various stakeholders (IT teams, business units, management).
- Team spirit and ease in collaboration with multiple players (IT Data Manager, developers, business referents, Security teams…).
- Autonomy, proactivity and ability to propose improvements to continuously enhance data governance processes.
- Strong interest in data quality and enhancement, with a strong sense of ethics and confidentiality
Specific Qualifications:
- Minimum experience of 6 - 9 years in a function related to data management (Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Analyst/Engineer where there is a governance dimension).
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher education (Engineer or Master 2) in computer science, data management or related field.
