About Business line/Function:

The Global Markets business of BNP Paribas helps its corporate and institutional clients leverage capital markets across the globe for their financing, risk management and investment needs. This encompasses a wide range of financial products ranging from foreign exchange to complex Equity Derivatives that are traded in financial markets across the globe 24/7. IT systems are integral to the business and are a key part of the value proposition to clients. These IT systems range from industry standard products for standard process automation to internally developed, often, market leading IT applications. The IT teams owning these IT systems are made up of functions that include Technical and Application production support, Business Analysis & Project Management, Development & Maintenance and Quality Control.

In the context of Global Markets – DEC Clearing caters to the Listed Derivatives Back Office worldwide. The project develops and maintains applications used by the users and provides end to end ADM services.

Position Purpose

To be part of the Client onboarding team based in Mumbai. The purpose of this team is to connect Global clients to the global trading platform for trading in US/EMEA/APAC markets

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Job Tasks (directly linked to the objectives of the employee)

·         The person will prepare, supervise, coordinate and implement client connectivity with clients or vendor teams

·         The connectivity is based on FIX, the Financial Information exchange Protocol

·         The role requires to build strong relationship with client’s IT and infrastructure teams and to liaise closely with various BNPP teams, on IT (infrastructure/production and development) and business side (Client Service and Sales teams)

·         The objective of the team is to minimize the delay between the time a client is notified by our Sales to be commercially ready to do business with BNPP and the time the client has been technically provided with the ability to execute orders through BNP platform

·         The FIX onboarding team is expected to be an extended team, in this case, this role is expected to independently manage the onboarding responsibilities for one of the regions

·         Flexible to work in any region according to the regional requirements

Expected Role and Key Responsibilities:

    • Create JIRA for each onboarding request
    • Understand the initial client requirements from Sales
    • Clarify the requirements with Client IT
    • Design the target setup ensuring the functionality is available in BNP platform
    • For new requirements, coordinate with Dev team to ensure correct implementation of new feature
    • Certify the new flow with Client
    • Review the analysis of client requirements for junior team members
    • Participate in calls with clients to arbitrate issues related to onboarding
  • Reporting:
    • Help the project manager to maintain KPI’s to track the delivery of ULLink for timeliness and quality of setup
    • Help the project manager to prepare a dashboard report to FO and IT stakeholders on delivery scope, KPI’s, issues and risks.
    • Escalate to FO and or IT management for any delay in onboarding due to any dependency on internal, ULLink or clients factors

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Functional

o   Strong knowledge of Cash Equities & Derivative (Futures/Options/Spreads) Execution products lifecycle

o   Should have good understanding of trade life cycle and different flows – Low Touch and High touch

o   The candidate should have a Techno-Functional Profile with more emphasis on Functional & Testing skills

o   Should have very strong understand of FIX flows and industry

o   Knowledge of Fix 4.2/4.4 protocol is mandatory

o   Strong knowledge on any OMS/EMSX

o   Strong knowledge of market specific behavior and complexities

o   Involvement in process improvement

o   Good understanding/knowledge in EMEA/US /APAC markets

o   Understanding on Network connectivity

SDLC and Process

o   Sound knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activities

o   Capability for documentation of Requirement/Functional specifications 

o   Ability to create test scenarios and test cases

o   Ability to review and ensure completeness of test scenarios
