Position Purpose

The Lead Agile Coach will work across all layers of the enterprise model—strategic, coordination, and delivery—playing a key role in developing and establishing Agile standards and practices. He / She will play a critical role in driving organizational transformation by applying innovative Agile practices across the enterprise.

The incumbent will be responsible to help both agile (Scrum, Kanban) and non-agile squads to develop a set of self-regulation and reflective skills to bring about sustainable change in line with the organizational processes which shall lead to increased productivity and quality.  This is done through close collaboration with Wealth Management Information Services (WMIS) resources with systematic approach, which is well documented. He / She will also organize, develop, and deliver trainings and workshops to maintain and/ improve the expected outcome from the projects.

The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in IT, demonstrating an exceptional ability to think outside the box and develop creative solutions that address complex challenges. With a proven track record of successfully transforming organizations and teams, the candidate will lead by example, showing outstanding leadership qualities, particularly in times of crisis. In addition to their Agile expertise, the candidate must have a solid understanding of IT governance processes, ensuring the Agile transformation aligns with organizational standards and regulations. Experience in the banking sector is preferred, and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Agile Leadership

o    Lead cross-functional teams through transformational change, encouraging innovative thinking and outside-the-box approaches to problem-solving.

o    Guide teams in adopting Agile methodologies that are tailored to their unique challenges, fostering a culture of creativity and experimentation.

o    Manage and mentor teams of more than 10 members, ensuring that Agile best practices are implemented effectively to drive performance and productivity.

o    Apply leadership qualities in times of crisis, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and the ability to steer teams through uncertainty while maintaining focus on strategic goals.

Strategic Organizational Transformation

o    Leverage deep experience in Agile to spearhead large-scale transformations across the organization, aligning Agile practices with the overall business strategy.

o    Design and implement a comprehensive Agile adoption strategy that integrates innovative practices, scaling frameworks (such as SAFe, LeSS), and IT governance processes.

o    Lead the organization’s transformation programs, including the "Tiger: IT Transformation Program of Wealth Management," driving collaboration between IT and business functions.

o    Facilitate team kick-offs, defining clear roles, responsibilities, product visions, and backlogs while ensuring the smooth flow of work.

Agile Training & Development

o    Develop and deliver tailored training programs, workshops, and mentoring sessions to upskill teams and leaders at all levels, fostering long-term Agile adoption and success.

o    Create innovative frameworks for ongoing Agile education, ensuring the continuous development of team members and the scaling of Agile methodologies throughout the organization.

o    Mentor team members on Agile best practices, providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary for self-regulation, autonomy, and sustained success.

Contributing Responsibilities

Governance and Compliance

o    Ensure all Agile transformations are in compliance with the organization’s IT governance framework and regulatory requirements, especially within highly regulated industries such as banking.

o    Partner with internal governance and compliance teams to maintain a balance between Agile innovation and operational security.

o    Align Agile initiatives with broader governance objectives to ensure scalable, sustainable, and compliant processes.

Communication and Crisis Leadership

o    Demonstrate expert-level written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex Agile concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

o    Act as the primary liaison between Agile teams and executive stakeholders, ensuring that project progress, challenges, and achievements are clearly communicated.

o    Display exceptional leadership during periods of crisis, using clear and calm communication to guide teams through high-pressure situations while maintaining a focus on organizational objectives.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Experience:

o    15+ years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in Agile coaching and leadership roles.

o    Proven success in leading teams of 10+ people and steering at least one large-scale Agile transformation using SAFe, LeSS, or other scaling frameworks.

o    Deep understanding of IT governance processes and how to align them with Agile methodologies, particularly in regulated industries like banking.

o    Solid experience in the banking or financial services sector is highly advantageous.

Leadership:

o    Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and develop creative solutions for complex organizational challenges.

o    Proven track record of leading organizational transformation and guiding teams through crises with exceptional leadership, resilience, and strategic decision-making.

o    Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams and individuals to perform at their highest levels, even in challenging circumstances.

o    Strong decision-making skills and the ability to manage complex projects while ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Communication:

o    Expert-level written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex Agile methodologies to both technical and non-technical audiences.

o    Strong facilitation skills for leading large and small group discussions, workshops, and Agile ceremonies.

Technical Tools:

o    Extensive experience with Agile tools such as Atlassian Suites (JIRA, Confluence), Rally, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

o    Continuous improvement mindset, always seeking new and innovative ways to enhance Agile practices and organizational performance.
