Volunteering within BNP Paribas
Employees have different reasons for committing to a cause: to do something meaningful, to find a sense of solidarity or from a desire to be useful. “Many of our employees have contributed their working hours to support the efforts of associations working toward a better world. I congratulate all of them. They are making a decisive contribution to BNP Paribas’ social commitment,” says Antoine Sire, Head of Company Engagement.
For this reason, the Group encourages its employees to participate in a diverse range of volunteering opportunities (sharing expertise with partner associations, for example) and in many different forms: direct involvement, technical support.

volunteering missions have been undertaken just in France.
working hours were dedicated to good causes in 2018 around the world.
A program has been put in place with the objective of donating 1 million working hours from around the entire Group. Some examples include mentoring students at all levels, assisting job seekers, providing free legal counsel and financial advice. Within all the regions where BNP Paribas is present, volunteering has recently taken on a new dimension thanks the One Million Hours to Help project whose aim is to encourage each of the Group’s more than 200,000 employees to donate a half of a working day.
Many different forms of volunteering exist within the Group
Outside of working hours: volunteer opportunities are available for employees wanting to dedicate their expertise to an association in their free time.During working hours employees can engage in pro bono initiatives, lending their expertise to various initiatives and through short-term assignments, and Solidarity Days, in which a group or team dedicates an entire day to a good cause.

Every day, the employees of BNP Paribas Donate their time, to many associations and in many ways, in order to build a more united world and improve the lives of others throughout the entire world. Paris, São Paulo, Rome, Brussels… We have followed 10 of these people to see their commitment and understand the unique bond that forms with those they are helping.
We wanted to shine a light on these unique people, and through a partnership with Loopsider, you can now see their stories in a new video series, which begins next week here on our website.
