TANJAzz reveals new voices in jazz

Lighting up the sky of Tangiers is Tanjazz, the very best of jazz music. In this 18th edition from 14 to 17 September, the festival is focusing on young new talent!

New Voices in Jazz

This year, Tanjazz is getting a new lease of life and proposes a festival based on the theme of “New Voices in Jazz”. The chance to showcase a constellation of artists from different horizons, all with one thing in common: a passion for music.

Philippe Lorin, founder of Tanjazz festival explains: “Searching out new voices is exactly the vision I have for the festival. I want to discover new talent and share these discoveries."

Among the festivities, 55 concerts will be held with over 160 artists and musicians performing on different stages at the festival and in the city of Tangiers.

The musicians will be offering something for all tastes from blues to tributes to legendary voices in jazz and a mix of contemporary jazz-pop. Among those playing are Bobby & Sue, the up and coming group Crossfire, the young Croat Daniel Čačija, showman David Costa Coelho, the spectacular Filomena Campus, Guy Verlinde, Izah, Janis Peruzzi Quartet, La Negra, Morgane Ji, Michaela Rabitsch, Nicolle Rochelle & Hot Antic Jazz Band, Rita Payés, the poignant Samia Tawil, Slatucada, Tahar Tag’L, Teema & Noam Vazana, the talented Glossy Sisters and to end with Vocal Tempo.
