Biodiversity & open innovation: the TNFD releases beta framework for risk management and disclosure

On 15 March 2022, the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures released the first beta version of its nature-related risk management and disclosures framework. BNP Paribas has made strong contributions to the creation of the taskforce and this draft framework, which uses an open innovation approach to move towards the preservation of biodiversity and shifting the global economy in the direction of more nature-positive impacts.

In February, the commercial launch of The BNP Paribas Solar Impulse Venture Fund attracted high profile Swedish investors in Stockholm, Sweden. Both Bertrand Piccard, Founder and Initiator of the Solar Impulse Foundation, and Christophe Lenouvel, Head of BNP Paribas Principal Investments and Chairman of the asset management company BNP Paribas Agility Capital, attended meetings with environmentally conscious investors looking for both financial returns and positive impacts on climate change.
