In this 17th edition the programme is centred around powerful, contemporary themes and is designed for an audience from all walks of life.

The feminine side of jazz

One day of the festival will be devoted to women. The festival will be paying tribute by exploring new talent on the jazz scene: artists, composers and instrumentalists / Standards & Bianca and the Italian singer songwriter Kicca will take over the beautiful function room of the Town Hall of the 6th district for two free concerts on Saturday 13 May.

Kicca, accompanied by guitarist Hervé Samb, will also appear at the Versailles women’s prison on 16 May for a concert followed by a discussion with inmates of the detention centre.

“ Jazz has numerous qualities of which one is bringing us all together at least once a year at festival time. Precious moments of fun and sharing. Anything else? Jazz is young, exciting, playful, beautiful, surprising… Jazz has got heart! ”
