The bank for a changing world

This weekend, at the New Imperial Theater, the Japanese choreographer Saburo Teshigawara -who receives support from the BNP Paribas Foundation- presented his latest production Kazahana for the first time in Japan.

Kazahana, which was created specifically for Lille 2004, places spectators in gorgeous sensorial environments featuring seemingly transparent bodies, achieved through the use of subtle lighting and optical effects.

In his drive to break down the boundaries separating classical dance, modern dance, and buto, Mr. Teshigawara assembles his dancers into bouquets of living coral and weather-beaten flowers.
