BNP Paribas Singapore was honoured at the “Patron of heritage Awards 2008”, which recognized the most active corporate philanthropists in Singapore in the field of cultural heritage.
BNP Paribas was rewarded for supporting two major initiatives in 2008: first, its contribution enabled the Singapore Art Museum to hold the Time Exposures exhibition. In addition, with the support of the BNP Paribas Foundation, BNP Paribas Singapore made possible the restoration of an important piece of Peranakan beadwork at the Peranakan Museum – a museum that is dedicated to this early Chinese community that settled in the Malay archipelago since the 17th century.
