At Kantox, we are looking for an Senior Compliance Manager to join our amazing Compliance team and hold an important role in the organisation!

Your role:

  1. Advise top management on business operations involving risk management and policy development, focusing on compliance with AML regulations and enhancing Financial Security.
  2. Achieve complete compliance management systems in accordance with organizational plans and adherence to legislation and agreed-upon regulatory bodies’ processes and procedures, particularly those related to AML.
  3. Take overall responsibility for managing the implementation process with BNPP, working on various work streams and projects.
  4. Take responsibility for implementing action plans resulting from external audits, GFS recommendations, or regulatory bodies.
  5. Serve as a company-wide resource and liaison on policies, contract issues, communications, workflow, and quality improvement initiatives.
  6. Serve as the first point of contact for all matters related to the Financial Security team.
  7. As the Financial Security Champion and Project Manager in charge of BNPP policies implementation, this role plays a key function in ensuring that our compliance and operational standards are met across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations, ensuring compliance at all levels, especially regarding AML.
  2. An analytical mindset paired with excellent organizational skills, enabling efficient problem-solving.
  3. Ability to apply rules to real-life facts swiftly and accurately, ensuring effective decision-making.
  4. High standards and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision in all tasks undertaken.
  5. Executive management proficiency, adept at grasping the big picture while maintaining focus on operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Working proficiency in English, nice to have advanced Spanish.

Experience

  1. A minimum of 6 years' experience as a Senior Compliance Officer or in a similar position, with at least 2 years of team management experience
  2. Proven experience dealing with regulators or supervisors
  3. Professional certification such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (ACAMS, ICA, similar)

Knowledge & Capabilities

  1. Sound understanding of regulatory guidelines and security policies, particularly AML and MiFID (nice to have!).
  2. Risk assessment capabilities: The ability to assess alternatives and make decisions based on risk is critical.
  3. Proven experience advising senior management on the next steps and providing recommendations on the next course of action, including relationship retention, termination, and Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filing.
  4. Proficiency in managing AML audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating smooth audit processes.
