Global Market Operations (GMO) covers Front Office activities such as ALM/Treasury and Fixed Income local booking. GMO consists of 3 streams, Control and Investigations, Settlement and Confirmations. Position Purpose

Its primary responsibility is to create and manage the static data of GECD and Fixed Income instruments stored in our internal systems. It is also to maintain the market data stored in our internal systems used for pricing and risk monitoring. Main drivers are client service quality, independent control, operational risk safety and cost efficiency.
 

Responsibilities

 
    • Manage the GMO Instrument Referential Fixed income team, adherence the Sierra Global Operational Procedures, Reference Framework and Client OLA.
    •  Ensure the daily Whiteboard ‘stand up meetings’ are held and attended by all team members.
    • Contribute to Monthly Cockpit reporting and Production meetings
    • Support the supervisors and individual team members in daily Production where items are escalated.
    • Contribute to logging all IT system related user enhancements and prioritization
    • Contribute to closure of OPC and IG Recommendations
    • Review and maintain all BAU Operational procedures ensuring that these reflect all changes and improvements following closure of OPC, IG Recommendation
    • Contribute to Sierra Global Co-ordination and Certification
    • Contribute to ORUS review and enhancement, ensuring all tasks are recorded in accordance to Operational procedures. Ensure supervisory daily sign off is well executed prior to daily manager sign off.
    • Contribute to all Instrument Referential Projects and Digitalization initiatives
    • Manage the Team Project Dashboard providing clear visibility on open Projects, agreed actions and timelines
    • Manage the Team ‘Skills Matrix’ ensuing all system and procedural training gaps are identified and addressed to maximize Service efficiency and remove Operational Risk
    • Contribute to the planning and even distribution of daily tasks coordinating closely with Local mgmt.
    • Oversee all Regulatory Controls are correctly implemented and observed
    • Sponsor and Contribute to all data Quality initiatives working closely with Data Quality Manager to coordinate the actions required
 
 
 
 

Key Staff responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate records of Team member holidays, sickness, training, out of office
    • Ensure adequate coverage of all tasks allocating Staff accordingly
    • Monitor staff productivity and performance Continue to manage and promote team cross training ensuring all staff are cross trained and are interchangeable
    • Record and update staff developments and concerns.
    • Perform staff appraisals and regular performance reviews
    • Manage new Staff hire.
    • Forecast future headcount according to new business initiatives & volumes to support the Budget exercise
    • Administer and maintain records of disciplinary proceedings
 

   Leadership and Management reporting

  • Actively promote and encourage open communication and escalation of issues and incidents.
  • Attend and constructively contribute to all management meetings
  • Manage team capacity and monitor productivity, quality and risk KPIs
  • Contribute to Budget exercise and review in Clarity
  • Ensure the timely completion of the weekly management reporting and escalation ensuring all items for the week are accurately reported for Operations Management.
  • Promptly Escalate/ Advise to GMO Instrument Ref Manager Instrument Ref team issues identified that impact Operational Risk
  • Maintain Productivity, Quality and Risk KPIs and ensure timely update into Cockpit
  • Contribute to accurate Client Operational Service cost and budget allocation
  • Establish good working relationship with our Global Market and BNPP Group- Clients.
  • Strive for Optimize our Instrument Referential Services with a focus on Data Quality
 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

 
  • Strong Preference to have Bachelor or Master Degree on Economics, Mathematics or Finance.
  • Strong Treasury (Rate / Bonds) & Equity derivatives products & operations process knowledge.
  • Strong Preference to have MS skills (VBA, Excel, and Access) would be a significant plus.
