About this opportunity 

This role is as Legal Trainee within the Swedish/Finnish CIB Legal Team consisting of three lawyers, headed by the Head of Legal Sweden and Finland and located on Blasieholmen in Stockholm.  

The Swedish legal team provides legal advice to the various business lines within CIB in Sweden and Finland. The team also assists BNP Paribas Group business globally with transactions and legal issues relating to the Swedish and Finnish markets. Consequently, this role will be working closely with the Nordic legal team as well as colleagues in BNP Paribas Group offices across the globe. 

Main scope of the role

This role will be assisting the Swedish legal team in their daily work

What you will do 

  

  1. Assisting with review/drafting of legal documentation; 
  2. Assisting with  answering of general legal questions both from local business and from the rest of the BNPP Group; and
  3. Regulatory Watch – tracking and reviewing updated/new regulations applicable to relevant entities (from time to time) within the BNPP Group.

Relevant experience and requirements

For this role, the successful candidate should: 

  • Be at least in their second year of law school;
  • Have an already established interest for financial markets/banking/corporate law;
  • Be fluent in a Scandinavian language and English; and
  • Have an open mind, take responsibility for assignments and be able and willing to work independently.

Working Hours 

40%. Flexible around winter/summer holidays and exams.
