Junior Fullstack Developer (Python & Angular)
ABOUT THE JOB
Join our high-impact AI team within BNP Paribas’s Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division, where we develop and scale a cutting-edge software platform powering the entire corporate credit chain - from origination to monitoring. Used by thousands of employees across 50+ countries since 2019, our platform is a critical backbone for global credit operations.
As a Junior Developer, you will have the unique opportunity to learn from industry experts and contribute to cutting-edge technologies. Depending on your interests and learning path, you will be matched with one of our key projects:
- AI & Automation Engine: Gain hands-on experience with the frontier of technology, including NLP and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) to power our MyCreditApp, and assist in building our internal AI agent.
- Sustainability Solutions: Support high-scale projects focused on calculating and monitoring the carbon footprint for our global clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing software components under the guidance of Senior Engineers, following the multi-year product roadmap.
- Collaborating with feature teams to implement UI elements and backend services that meet user expectations.
- Learning and applying best practices in software quality, including unit testing (TDD), code reviews, and modern architectural standards.
- Participating in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, providing status updates, and contributing to team discussions.
- Actively seeking knowledge and growing your technical skills by working closely with mentors and cross-functional specialists.
PROFILE & SKILLS
We are looking for motivated individuals with a Fullstack mindset and a strong desire to grow in a professional engineering environment.
- Core Technical Foundation (Essential):
- Backend: Basic knowledge of Python and familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI or Flask).
- Frontend: Basic understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS) and familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Academic or Project Experience: Experience with SQL (relational databases) and a basic understanding of how APIs work (REST).
- Mindset & Soft Skills:
- High curiosity and a strong willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
- Proactive attitude and a desire to take ownership of your learning path.
- Collaborative mindset; you enjoy working in a team and sharing ideas.
- English: Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal) is essential for our international environment.
- Nice-to-Have (Bonus points for):
- Exposure to Angular.
- Experience with any data manipulation libraries (like Pandas).
