As a part of the Fund Accounting domain within the Private Capital department, you will lead the Fund Expenses team and manage the accounts payable process for funds domiciled in Luxembourg, Paris and Channel Islands. This is a unique opportunity to establish and manage a new team creating a global impact, whilst closely collaborating and managing relationships with stakeholders from across BNP Paribas Private Capital global team on a daily basis.

Fund Expenses Team Leader (Private Equity / Alternative Funds)

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting / accounts payable (at least 1 year in team management capacity).
  • Proven experience in people management, ability to delegate and to gain the commitment among team members.
  • Knowledge / experience of alternative funds / private equity fund accounting.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement improvements to existing processes.
  • Good IT skills, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively and demonstrate initiative.
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to handle complexity.
  • Have excellent communication skills and a truly client servicing mind-set.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage team of 8 – 10, supporting their development
  • Provide technical and specialist support to the team, with operational coverage when required.
  • Oversee the accounts payable process of the team, ensuring its efficiency.
  • Optimize / automate workflows and processes.
  • Ensure all processes comply with company policies and regulations
  • Work with Senior Management and Risk to evolve and enhance controls to alleviate any potential risk areas. 
  • Respond to queries and requests in a timely, efficient and professional manner. 
  • Collaborate / build strong relationships with suppliers, clients and stakeholders across the organization.
