Global Markets - Custody and Clearance
The Global Markets business of BNP Paribas helps its corporate and institutional clients leverage capital markets across the globe for their financing, risk management and investment needs. This encompasses a wide range of financial products ranging from Foreign exchange to complex Equity Derivatives that are traded in financial markets across the globe 24/7. IT systems are integral to the business and are a key part of the value proposition to clients. These IT systems range from industry standard products for standard process automation to internally developed, often, market leading IT applications. Position Purpose
Developer will be part of COSMO team. The Client Management IT group in Global Markets IT provides full life cycle development, testing and support for a range of Referential and Client Service related applications and web portals. The software is used internally, but globally. Developer will be working on various development projects, enhancements and supporting level 3 issues. Developer will coordinate with Project Manager’s to communicate status and report issues for development deliverables.

- Development and testing of new features for an application that distributes settlement instructions and account master data to downstream systems. There are also a variety of portals that support custom processes for our Client Service groups. Work required in both Windows services and in IIS based web environments.
- Identify potential design, process and/or system changes to optimize performance, and mitigate risks.
- Carry out exploratory development to integrate new components into existing software.
- Keep up with industry trends and best practices
- Identify performance bottlenecks, profile applications & tune SQL queries.
- Hands-on with development, technical delivery, review, and testing.
- Level 3 Application Support – Working with users to diagnose data and application problems.
- Infrastructure Liaison – Work with the hardware infrastructure team to perform migrations to new application servers and databases when necessary.
- Review work done by team members and guide junior team members.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Proficiency in .NET framework, C# , ASP.NET , Angular (>7) , .NET Core and SQL Server
