Job Title: Head of Production Investment Protection Service Pole- ISPL
Department: Production – IPS
Position Purpose: The candidate will manage the Production Investment Protection Services (IPS) pole based in ISPL, which will include four business lines, viz. Asset Management, Wealth Management, Cardiff (Insurance arm of BNPP), and Real Estate divisions. These teams deliver critical functions, including APS, DevOps, SRE, AI Engineering for Production, Automation and Tooling, and Service Management. The responsibilities include the accountability for all aspects of delivery, people growth and development, stakeholder management of each of the CTOs of the business line and IPS Production Global Pole management and related transformation programs at both the individual business line and pole levels. The structure will include a team of 250 colleagues, with four leads of the each of the business lines and reporting to CTO of ISPL locally, and functionally to Global Pole head of IPS.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Transformation: Direct the execution of transformation programmes within ISPL, driving change at both the business line and pole levels.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to Business Line CTOs and their direct reports, architecting and implementing ISPL-driven solutions to resolve complex operational challenges. Work with ISPL CTO to execute the various initiatives and transformation for the betterment of the pole and division.
- Executive Support: Provide strategic counsel and resource stewardship to the IPS Pole CTO to advance key programmes and initiatives.
- Leadership Stewardship: Cultivate a high-performance culture by mentoring your management team in accountability, ownership, and empathetic leadership, cascading these standards throughout the Team Leader layer.
- Service Excellence: Guarantee that delivery and performance across all business lines strictly adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Stakeholder Trust & Relationship Management: Cultivate high levels of customer confidence through the delivery of high-performing, resilient services. Drive long-term strategic partnerships with Business Line and Pole CTOs through transparent communication, decisive escalation management, and the implementation of permanent, root-cause solutions.
- Operational Resilience: Collaborate with the ISPL management team to proactively identify operational risks and deploy robust, scalable solutions.
- Optimisation & Synergy: Drive organisational value by identifying cross-functional synergies and proposing mutualisation strategies that deliver measurable benefits. Champion operational excellence and efficiency across your management team and all functional areas under your remit.
- Governance: Lead regular service reviews with senior leadership at the Business Line and Pole levels to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Talent Strategy and growth: Execute rigorous assessment frameworks with your management team to drive continuous improvement, focus on upskill/reskill aligned with evolving industry standards, execute strategic workforce planning and right talent acquisition thru’ high calibre professionals.
- Risk Mitigation & Governance: Safeguard operational integrity by enforcing robust control frameworks and proactive mitigation plans. Ensure rigorous oversight of all activities to uphold the highest standards of regulatory compliance and minimise institutional risk.
Specific Qualifications:
- Total 20+ years of IT experience and at least 5 years managing large teams in IT Development/IT Production Support based on an on-shore/off-shore model
