What is this position about?
Operations Management :
• Support the Head in overseeing the Back Office and Middle Office teams (staffing, motivation, performance review cycles).
• Ensure daily processing meets quality, turnaround time and client service targets.
• Drive adherence to SOPs, monitor exceptions, and timely root cause analysis, tracking and closure of incidents.
• Champion a permanent control framework that embeds regulatory, compliance and internal risk requirements and ensure escalation procedures are properly adhered.

• Minimize operational failure, including but not exclusively the risk of fraud by helping to devise and by implementing sufficient regular controls
• Ensure appropriate escalation to management and/or permanent control (or compliance as appropriate) as soon as an issue is identified.
• Comply with internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements
Other contributions
• Lead or contribute to strategic transformation projects (process re engineer, automation, data analytics enablement) that align with the Group’s GTS roadmap.
• Act as a subject matter expert for complex trade finance structures and support product delivery teams in meeting client demands.
• Build strong partnerships with back and front office, Business, technology, legal, risk and compliance functions.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and cross regional best practice adoption.
• Keep abreast of changes to UCP 600, URDG 758, ISP 98 and other relevant standards; embed updates into daily operations.
