Claims Management officer

An accident can happen at any time. Unfortunately, accidents sometimes also affect the schedule of our drivers… At times like those, it is important for us to help our drivers in an efficient and customer-friendly way so that they experience first-hand that Arval is the right choice to make.

It will be your responsibility to handle and follow up our customer's claims from start to finish. Below are some of your job responsibilities: 

  • You will open and follow-up on our customers' claims and make sure the customer gets a perfect service. 
  • You will gather the necessary documents, including accident report forms, police certificates, insurance documents, etc.
  • You will read and interpret all received accident files, find the right repair company and necessary damage assessment company and notify the broker and/or insurer.
  • You will remain the first point of contact for suppliers and third parties to coordinate the entire claim for the account managers.  
  • You will work with your colleagues at repair management to keep an eye on the time it takes to repair vehicles. 
  • You will act as the point of contact for internal and external customers and suppliers and keep everyone informed of the case's progress.
  • You will make sure drivers' interests are defended in the best possible way.
  • You will act as the contact person for brokers. 
  • You will take action to achieve a satisfactory solution to any complaints. 
  • You will know and observe the SLAs in your area of expertise. 

What are the basic requirements for the position?

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/insurance
  • Very good knowledge of Dutch and French
  • Commercial attitude
  • Accuracy and high stress tolerance
  • Analytical mindset

 What do we expect from a claims management officer?

  • Customer focus in the guidance you offer to your internal customers (account managers) and external customers (drivers) in their (damage) claims
  • An eye for detail, excellent follow-up and transparent communication to coordinate, manage and finalise ongoing cases as well as possible with the various suppliers and third parties (brokers, lawyers, etc.)
  • A good sense of responsibility – your interpretation of the cases will affect the further course of the procedure. Your knowledge and expertise are of great importance in every case we handle 
  • Results-oriented and able to work together to achieve personal and team objectives 
  • A dynamic personality that enables you to give the necessary input to the team, colleagues and customers to increase their involvement
  • A high regard for respect and helpfulness
