About Business line/Function:

Position Purpose:

The Senior Business Analyst will lead the analysis, design, and optimization of the Hobart service‑request management tool. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, the IT development team, and external vendors to ensure Hobart delivers efficient, compliant, and user‑friendly request handling across the organization. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement, support change‑management initiatives, and help align the tool with corporate service‑delivery standards.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·         8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional QA Consultant in IT projects.

·         Minimum 5+ years’ experience in banking projects.

·         Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Client relationships and stakeholder management.

1.Requirements Gathering and Analysis

·         Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, workflows, and process gaps.

·         Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.

·         Conduct feasibility analysis, ensuring solutions aligning with business objectives and technical capabilities.

2.Solution Design and Recommendation

·         Collaborate with technical teams to design IT solutions that meet business requirements.

·         Provide recommendations on system improvements, customizations, and best practices.

·         Evaluate multiple solutions to recommend the most effective and efficient approach.

3.Process Improvement

·         Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.

·         Lead process reengineering initiatives and suggest strategies for optimization.

·         Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.

4.Quality Assurance and Support

·         Define and review test plans, test cases, and validation criteria aligned with business scenarios.

·         Participate in functional, integration, and regression testing cycles.

·         Collaborate with QA teams to resolve issues and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

·         Conduct UAT sessions with end users and ensure all defects are logged, tracked, and closed within timelines.

5.Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration

·         Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA, and Business Teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.

·         Support release planning, sprint ceremonies, and backlog grooming in agile environments.

·         Prepare and deliver functional documentation, demo sessions, and training materials.

6.Mentorship and Leadership

·         Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and project team members.

·         Share “Shift Left” best practices and support team members in developing their skills.

·         Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis “Agile” practices within the organization.

Contributing Responsibilities

·         Proficiency of tools such as JIRA, X-ray, Confluence, ALM, or similar project /test management tools. 

·         Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

·         Familiarity with Oracle databases, Understanding schema, SQL.

·         Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.

·         Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

·         Good Team player.

·         Someone who could have long-term commitment with the team and organization

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

·         Domain expertise in Banking [e.g., SRM / CRM / Banking].

·         Experience in SQL or data validation.

·         Knowledge of API testing or automation tools.

Specific Qualifications:

·         3 years of computer bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

·         Experience as a Business Analyst or Functional QA Consultant in IT projects.

·         Experience in banking projects.

·         Experience in Client relationships and stakeholder management.

Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)

Technical Skills:

·         Experience in SQL, data validation, Oracle databases, or Understanding schema

·         Knowledge of API testing or automation tools.

·         Hands-on experience with JIRA, X-ray, Confluence, ALM tools.
