Job Title: Associate – KYC Quality Assurance

Department: ISPL CEFS KYC Operations

About Business line/Function: 

The KYC Due Diligence team in ISPL is responsible for the Preparation of files due for periodic reviews (Recertification) for existing customers and (Onboarding) for new clients of BNP Paribas across multiple countries across APAC, EMEA and America. It is extended team working with onshore counterpart to support completion of KYC on all existing and new clients of BNP Paribas.

It is extended team working with onshore counterpart to support completion of KYC on all existing and new clients of BNP Paribas.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Perform retrospective quality checks on KYC files to ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulatory requirements .

Identify gaps, inaccuracies, or missing documentation in Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) profiles.

Provide detailed, constructive feedback to the KYC operations team to drive improvement and reduce the error rate.

Validate the appropriateness of the risk rating assigned to clients based on their entity type, jurisdiction, and business activity.

Verify the authenticity and validity of identification, ownership structures (UBO), and corporate registry documents.

Prepare daily/weekly quality dashboards and reports for senior management, highlighting recurring themes or systemic failures.

Ensure that the KYC process evolves in line with updated Global and Local Compliance policies.

Conduct deep-dives into frequent errors to determine if they stem from a lack of training, ambiguous policy, or process inefficiency.

Escalate concerns / issues as needed.

Communicate within the team, Compliance, the business and IT. 

Contributing Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of Permanent Control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities.

Active participation in regular review of operational procedural changes /requirements during processing functions / staff meetings  

Active participation in Projects / System Changes / UAT / new system implementation when required.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Specific Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree - in management, finance, science, economics, related field or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience in AML/KYC operations, specifically focusing on Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a banking or financial services environment.

Strong understanding of regulatory landscapes and international standards (e.g., FATF recommendations).

High attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex corporate structures (Trusts, Funds, SPVs) and identify "red flags."
