About Business line/Function: 

Performance Steering within Finance Shared Services is responsible for internal management reporting, providing financial insights to CIB management, Business Lines and Functions. The team provides services such as:

  • Management Accounting for Revenue and Expenses
  • Management Reporting
  • Budget and Forecast Support
  • Management Accounting System Administration

Reconciliation of Management and Financial Accounting

Position Purpose:

The job holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining digital solutions which are getting used by almost all business lines, Local PM teams across all regions. Jobholder is expected to work on ETL and Digitization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI. Job holders will be maintaining the referential data required for digital solutions and coordinate with users for their queries, requirements etc.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·         Design, develop and publish Power BI dashboards & Alteryx workflows.

·         Create reusable, scalable solutions that can be adopted across regions.

·         Act as a SPOC for users/stakeholder for the additional requirement and assess the feasibility as well as coordinate with technical team wherever necessary for major enhancement in dashboard including Adhoc.

·         Circulate monthly calendar and ensure smooth release of dashboards as per the calendar 

·         Manage referential data required for these solutions and ensure that it is updated on timely basis. Ensure data lineage is documented and version-controlled. 

·         Arrange demo sessions for onboarding new teams and provide accesses 

·         Propose solutions for problem statements shared by other teams within FSS 

·         Work closely with regional Meter PMs / Country PMs and Head Office Finance

·         Ensure the figures reported are accurate and aligned with management accounting systems 

·         Update, maintain and advise on monthly system parameters & referential (i.e. mapping tables) for management reporting

·         Review process documents and keep the procedures for production of all reporting tasks up-to-date

·         Increase the accuracy of the process through strict version control management. 

Contributing Responsibilities

Projects, Systems Support, Operational Process Improvements

·         Assist in identifying process improvements in production, control procedures, and workflow organization to increase the team’s efficiency and effectiveness  

·         Participate in the upgrades / version releases of respective reporting tools, as well as system amendments / enhancements required to facilitate new / modified reporting requirements. In connection with this effort, assist in user acceptance testing and trouble-shooting after deployment.

·         Help formulate system enhancements for operational process improvements in production, control procedures and workflow to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Assisting in integrating and streamlining reporting under the team’s responsibility.

·         Provide cross-training to colleagues and perform specific duties as assigned (e.g. coverage for colleagues

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

·         4 to7 years of experience in a global financial services company for digital solutions

·         Hands-on experience of Power BI and Alteryx

·         Working knowledge of Tableau

·         Prior accounting, management reporting experience

·         Excellent PC skills; ability to learn new systems quickly

·         Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, and graphs)

·         Working knowledge and understanding of SmartView/Essbase and MS Access desirable

Specific Qualifications:

MBA Finance with technical knowhow on dashboard tools

Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in Power BI and Alteryx
  • Working knowledge of SQL, SmartView/Essbase and MS Access desirable
  • Financial reporting especially in BFSI industry
  • Advance Knowledge of Excel and Macros

Behavioral Skills: 

    • Communication Skill – Oral and Written
    • Ability to collaborate/Teamwork
    • Ability to deliver & result oriented approach

Education Level: MBA Finance or other equivalent post-graduation qualification
