Role Description and Purpose

A senior member of the HR team covering Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore & Malaysia for BNP Paribas Asset Management. This role is critical in driving the Target Operating Model (TOM) implementation, including reorganization, team change management, and synergy implementation across the region. In addition to providing the full spectrum of HR advisory and services, the individual will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership to ensure resource allocation is optimized and business objectives are translated into scalable HR actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Transformation & TOM Implementation
    • Lead and assist the TOM implementation, specifically focusing on regional reorganization, team structure changes, and synergy realization following integration.
    • Conduct ongoing assessments of role scopes and resource allocation within the team to ensure all staff are aligned with business needs.
    • Advise senior management on high-level HR solutions and organizational design to improve efficiency across the China, HK and SG markets.
  • Business Partnering
    • Act as a senior advisor to employees and managers on the implementation of established HR practices and processes.
    • Contribute strategic ideas for launching HR initiatives that support long-term business objectives.
    • Oversee the smooth running of key HR processes, such as compensation & benefits reviews, performance management.
  • Human Resources Solution and Operations
    • Provide oversight for payroll-related administration and income tax reporting/filing with third-party vendors for Hong Kong.
    • Collaborate with local bank HR teams in China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia to ensure proper payroll records and reporting.
    • Maintain various HR systems and employee personnel filings to ensure the highest level of data quality and accuracy.
    • Manage HR control management and Echonet HR page reviews.
  • Recruitment 
    • Oversee the front-to-end recruitment process for permanent, temporary, internship, and VIE positions.
    • Ensure the effective maintenance and utilization of the recruitment system (Avature).

Key Internal and External Relationships 

Internal: all staff, management

External: recuriters, tax consultants, payroll vendors, mobility service provider, any other service providers

Role Requirements

  • University degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related subject.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of working experience in an HRBP or HR Generalist role, with significant experience in a senior-level capacity within the financial services sector.
  • Proven track record in change management, reorganization, or integration projects.
  • Able to manage and prioritze multiple tasks with strong time management and respect of deadlines.
  • Comfortable navigating complex organizational changes and ambiguous environments.
  • Strong expertise in Compensation & Benefits (C&B) and oversight the payroll administration.
  • Solution focused and result driven with a strong attention to details.
