Quick and easy, mobile payments allow users to make contactless purchases anywhere, even for amounts over €50, without having to carry their physical card. With Samsung Wallet, users can access their payment card with a simple swipe. They then simply authenticate using their fingerprint or PIN before holding their smartphone close to the payment terminal.
BNP Paribas and its online banking brand, Hello bank!, now enable customers with a Galaxy smartphone to enjoy the convenience of this simple everyday payment method.
Users also gain access to the Samsung Rewards loyalty programme. With every transaction made using Samsung Pay, they earn points that can be redeemed for instant discount vouchers from partner retailers or on samsung.com. In addition to payment cards, Samsung Wallet also lets users keep their loyalty cards, selected transport tickets and boarding passes all in one place.
Security: a top priority
When it comes to banking data, security is paramount. With Samsung Knox Vault, users’ sensitive information is isolated and encrypted on their smartphone. Samsung Pay is also protected by Samsung Knox and banking data encryption. In addition, the full card number is never displayed on screen.
Furthermore, information about customers’ purchases, including retailers’ names and transaction amounts, remains private and is not accessible to Samsung.
Samsung Wallet also provides a secure space for users to store all their passwords, accessible only by fingerprint or PIN.
