A graduate of the ESSEC business school, Ms. Marie-Christine Lombard has held various positions in the banking sector, notably with Chemical Bank and Paribas, successively based in New York, Paris and Lyon. In 1993, she joined the express transport sector as CFO of the French company Jet Services. In 1997, she became Managing Director until the company was acquired by TNT in 1999. In 2004, she was appointed Chairman and CEO of TNT's entire Express division, then Chairman of the Executive Board in 2011. In October 2012, she joined the Geodis group, where she initially held the position of Managing Director, before being appointed Chairman of the Executive Board in December 2013. Ms. Marie-Christine Lombard was a director of Groupe BPCE from 2010 to 2018 and is also a director of Groupe Vinci.

On 10 January 2024, Ms. Marie-Christine Lombard joined the Board of Directors of BNP Paribas SA in replacement of Ms. Rajna Gibson-Brandon. The decision to co-opt Ms. Marie Christine Lombard will be submitted to the next General Shareholder Assembly meeting for ratification.
