Client Delivery Operations sits within BNP Paribas – Securities Services business – Client Delivery, dedicated to providing fund administration, investment accounting, transfer agency, middle office outsourcing, investment reporting and performance, Data administration and regulatory reporting on a worldwide basis.

With more than +3300 HC spread across 21 locations and 7 main services, it represents a major Operational Domain of BNP Paribas Securities Services.

Through Client Delivery, Securities Services holds more than US$ 1.700 Billion in assets under administration and supports more than 8,000 funds across the globe.

Role

The ETF Transversal Global Process Owner (GPO) is a new role created specific to develop and optimise our processes and operating model in our fast-growing ETF business .

The ETF Transversal Global Process Owner oversees the End-to-End Target Operating Model definition, its formulation on clients’ specifics & its evolution: ensuring the best economic & efficient model, and delivering the best market full integrated service, in line with client expectations. 

The ETF Transversal GPO is required to work in strong coordination with the Global Heads of Operations /GPOs, Client Lines, Products & Solutions units, ensuring consistent full end to end model across processes (inclusive but not limited to MO, TA, FA, Custody, Collateral..).

The role will suit an experienced operational leader with a proven track record in managing ETF operations across multiple domiciles. You will have strong knowledge of core activities, Transfer agency and fund accounting specific to ETFs along with expert knowledge on all

activities across the E2E value chain. A key part of the role will be developing our operating model in line with market evolution, regulation and client needs. You will be a key partner to our Product & Solution teams as we continue to develop our product offer for our clients and prospects. Our 2030 plans will see substantial growth our ETF servicing business requiring a scaleable and industrial model to support our current & future needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating model and strategy
  • Define the business delivery model (i.e., TOM), its formulation on clients’ specifics & its evolution
  • Ensure that the business delivery models fit client needs by actively contributing to the governance led by Products & Solutions units
  • Co-define with Client Line the business-operating model (for ETF OM - i.e., overall business principles and functional objectives), its formulation on clients’ specifics & its evolution
  • Contribute, for the E2E ETF OM, to the definition of target solutions responding to clients’ critical issues
  • Support sales and product forces by acting as business delivery expert (RFP participation, ...)
  • Contribute to the definition of product specifications, new solutions (incl. TAC, NAC)
  • Contribute to the definition and the maintenance of the strategic roadmaps for each solution/product

Operational Change & Efficiency

  • Ensure efficiency of the E2E operating model with best-in-class process execution, rationalise and improve efficiency of the business delivery model in alignment w/ Client lines priorities
  • Drive process improvement and initiatives prioritisation and on the process performance (KPIs, KRIs...)
  • Optimise the quality, cost and operational risk
  • Process standardisation & Internationalisation (off-shoring/hub & spoke)
  • Define, share and implement best practices
  • Organise the appropriate governance around the operating model and change programme
  • Maintain the Change Roadmap up to date and validate any change within relevant governance
  • Communicate Roadmap and plans throughout the organisation

Risk & Control

With each Domain GPO contribute to:

  • Define & maintain new global procedures where required
  • Owner of key control validations such as 3F, DLP requiring annual sign off
  • Filter down / enforce the CIB2S risk framework in compliance with Group & regulatory requirements
  • Monitor main audit and IG reports and recommendations
  • Ensure adequate processes controls are in place to mitigate operational risk
  • Review of large incidents driving long term preventative measures
  • Review risk trending and ensure model and investment are in line
  • Establish, document and maintain a robust ERS plan, framework and test plans

Business development – Deal Focused

  • On request, under the lead of Client Development Team and Client Lines, contribute to:
  1. Go / no go decision on new business (Client acceptance process) for E2E ETF OM
  2. 3P for E2E ETF OM
  • Manage client on/off boardings (Contractual relationship & Technical & operational set up)
  • Design and maintain client standard SLA/SLDs for ETF OMy

Governance

  • Establish and animate the ETF OM community (including Champions named withing each Domain)
  • Establish and maintain the various aspects of governance including facilitation of decision making, managing key forums and meetings, addressing issues, project triage and key risks, reporting to senior stakeholders’ status against milestones, budget.
  • Ensure alignment among Business, Product, and IT
  • Ensure sustained relationships with the clients and providers 

Staff Management and Development (Direct Reports)

  • Appropriate management of direct reports, where relevant
  • Ensure direct reports have the required skill, expertise, and knowledge to perform their role
  • Ensure that resources and skills are utilised to their full potential
  • Ensure sufficient people development and staff training in place to maximise performance
  • Document and maintain succession plan

Qualifications & Experience required for this role

  • Proven track record in managing ETF operations across the full value chain/ all activities
  • Industry and product knowledge of the securities services industry specific to ETF
  • Proven extended experience gained within the financial services industry, including operational management within investment administration
