Team Leader in Investment Compliance Team
Investment Compliance is part of Depositary and Fiduciary domain of BNP Paribas. DFS department was appointed for fund’s asset protection: cash monitoring, safekeeping and overseeing the fund’s affairs to ensure that it complies with obligations outlined in relevant laws and fund’s constitutional documents. Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in leading the Team, we are open for experienced Deputy Team Leaders as well
- At least 3 years of relevant financial knowledge and capability to use it in practice; with focus on investment compliance and securities market
- Good understanding of funds industry and business environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English as working language; other business language will be an asset
- Strong time management and organizational skills, result - driven.
- Ability to build professional and cooperative relationships with stakeholders as well as ability to motivate, inspire and develop others
- Ability to identify, recommend and implement improvements to existing processes
Responsibilities:
- Managing Team, including but not limited to:
- Conducting annual performance appraisals and provide regular feedback based on goals for direct reports
- Conducting teams’ performance management and set career development goals and training plans
- Planning, scheduling, and managing the daily workflow, be able to flexibly arrange work among the team;
- Ensuring effective communication and team governance
- Providing control of the quality of investment compliance operations performed by team and managing operational risk in operations performed by team
- Maintaining and developing professional relations with Service Partners, IOC Managements, internal and external clients
- Participating in projects related to work transition, system transformation, employees engagement, driving innovation and efficiency solutions
- Providing business reporting to direct manager, Service Partners, IOC Management, OPC, ORC and compliance
- Ensuring adherence to legal and compliance regulations and requirements within the team
- Working on DFS Warsaw image as a high quality, efficient and professional service
