What is this position about?
As a Supply Chain Management Specialist, you will be part of the Supply Chain Management team based in Hong Kong under Transaction Banking, driving the growth of the Greater China portfolio allocated, by acquiring new pipelines and ramping up assets through expanding relationships with existing clients. This is a frontline sales role with a strong focus on delivering customized solutions, managing client relationships and achieving revenue targets.
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
Primary Role Responsibilities
• Origination, structuring and monitoring of Supply Chain deals
• Cross-selling of other TB products when possible
• Endeavour to ensure the quality of the Banks' portfolio remains sound and healthy
• Train and mentor Analysts and Associates within the SCM team in Hong Kong, cultivate team spirit and lead by example
• Preparing and reviewing transaction memos, legal documentation, marketing materials
• Participating in credit committees for the approval of the programs
• Overseeing the implementation process of facilities
• Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
• Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan
• Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
• Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System
• Ensure audit recommendations are resolved within the specific timeline
Other contributions
• Contribute to originating new opportunities and to meet the APAC Supply Chain Management budget targets
• Contribute to launch new products/solutions
• Contribute to cross-fertilization of opportunities (cross-selling of transaction banking products when possible, referral/sourcing of SCM opportunities for other countries/regions).
• Engage multiple stakeholders internally and externally (where required) for approvals, implementation of the products / deals
• Tracking competition offerings and aligning our product suite (wherever required)
What is required for you to succeed?
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in trade finance, supply chain finance or corporate banking relationship management
• Experienced in sales and structuring bespoke Supply Chain solutions to clients
• Strong product /domain knowledge (including general banking, risk, laws, rules and regulations)
• Strong analytical mindset to assess client needs and structure appropriate solutions
• Attention to details and good communication skills to articulate complex concept to stakeholders and clients in English and Mandarin
• Proficient in both English and Mandarin is mandatory, with additional language skills being an advantage
